Hard Motorsport BBK Brake Duct Kit Bmw E36 M3

    [ame="http://youtu.be/303iU_hAJ_Y"]http://youtu.be/303iU_hAJ_Y[/ame]

If you are installing a Brake Duct Kit on your Bmw e36 M3 it is most like you have a Big Brake kit Right?

So why not have Backing Plates that are designed to fit your StopTech or Brembro Big Brake kit!

Here is your answer the Hard Motorsport BBK Brake Duct Kit Bmw E36 M3. Other Backing Plates are very

small and only fit insides a factory rotor hat, which is about an inch smaller than the hat size of a 332mm

bbk so air just blows out the sides instead of going through the vents of the rotor which it is made to do.

Also there is no heat shield to protect from heating up your oil in your shocks which will thin the oil and

    change the dampening.

So the Hard Motorsport BBK Brake Duct Kit Bmw E36 M3 is design to fit inside the hat of a bbk and also has

a heat shield that protects ball joints.

This kit mounts to the frame of your Bmw M3 so that you can remove your front bumper and the Brake

Ducts stay in place for fast track repairs.

    Kit Includes:

Backing Plates for Big Brake Kits Powder Coated
    High Temp Flex Tubing
    Hose Clamps
    Aluminum Powder Coated Tubing
    Silicon Coupler
ABS Brake Duct Intake for E36 M3 Front Bumper
    Frame Mounting Bracket

EVERYTHING YOU NEED NO DRILLING REQUIRED DIRECT FIT! THIS KIT IS MADE IN THE USA!

That's really cool. Great job on the manufacturing and fitment. A heatshield for the ball joints is a pretty neat idea.

Yes Thank you but the main point of it is to make the brake duct actually fit a Big Brake Kit so you don't lose any of the air flow out the sides but actually out the vents of the rotors to cool it down.

Does the Aluminum tubing connect to the backing plate or the inlet? Hows the tire/rim clearance when everything is installed?

    +1

also will you be able to piece together individual parts that are needed, like Bimmerworld's kit?

In order inlet, coupler, aluminium tube, flex duct, backing plate.

The aluminum tubing mounts to the frame and the inlet stays in place so removal of the front bumper is possible without messing with the brake cooling system.

I will have picture of this kit installed tomorrow when I'm back at our race shop.

Here is a picture of a similar setup on a Honda BTCC race car.

I'm already running a set on my car and they look and fit great and I have no doubts they will perform much better than my previous vendor bought setup.

Interesting, but the video doesn't help to understand how/if the system fits a car with fender liners...or a radiator and its ducting. The way the intake scoops remain on the car when the bumper is pulled is really nice.

Fender liners will have to be modified. As per the duct hole are square and my kit is 3in and retains 3in the whole life of the air flow. It stays clear of radiator ducting. This is designed for track/race car applications.

Yes they will hit at full lock. As does any kit but where in other kits you tear though $100 of flextubing this kit only will touch an aluminium tube and the kit stays in tacked with no holes. We are working on a steering reducer product currently.

How much lock can you get before it touches the Alu? With my current setup I get roughly 1.5 turns.

These already exist for very cheap. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-42...-stop-kit.aspx

I like your inlet mounting. Will you sell parts of this kit piecemeal?

I will see if I have some time today to stop at the raceshop to see if I can get a video of the steering lock on it. I just don't know if anyone is at the shop with most of them leaving for Daytona last night.

Thanks James. Rich, Dave, and Eric are working today. I CALLED RICH TO MEASURE TOUCHING POINT

Sorry I will be out for the week in Daytona.

Roughly 1.5 turns from center but that will very from car to car with different tire setups and and offsets. I suggest running steering limiters to prevent damage.

And yes I will have individual pricing up later once I get to the track at daytona tonight

    Looks very nice.

Have you checked fit with a Motion Motorsports underpanel installed? I ask because the uprights on mine got in the way for routing the way I think you may have it running.

    Thank you!

Im not sure On the on that underpanel I do not carry any of there products. but we are developing an under tray/ splitter that stays on the front bumper to allow access to the front of the car, thats why we designed this kit that stays on the car so at the track you can quickly remove the bumper without unbolting your cooling ducts and soon your splitter.

Look great! Your fitment of the backing plates for the E39 M5 Brecus Motorsport race car has created quite a lot of interest in these for E39s on the M5board. I for one have been looking for an option for such plates and ducts other than having them custom made out of carbon fiber. I know at least three or four others would be in for a set as well. Please make them!
