    F.S. Weds Bavaria 15x6.5, 15x7 et16

Set of 4 Weds Bavaria Wheels staggered 15x7 and 15x6.5. The offset of all wheels is about 15.875.

I set one 15x6.5 on a scale and it weighed 13.6 lbs. More pics available if interested.

These are 2 piece wheels. They started life as a 3 piece but were welded together at the factory by Weds. The centers can be unbolted for refinishing etc.

    ***********SOLD SOLD SOLD**************

There are 2 spots that were repaired. I've taken a number of pics of the repaired area. The lip appears to have had some curb damage that was ground down and polished leaving a "dip" in the lip of one wheel. I have shot 3 angles of that area which is included in the web album for viewing. Second repaired area is at the back of one barrel and appears to be a bend that was hammered back into place. Looks ugly but appears straight. No cracks.

The lips are polished and the rears could use a cleaning. The centers where recently repainted gold. The caps are a mix and the previous owner attempted to make "weds" stickers which look good in pics but are starting to peel.

    Regarding the offset.

by my measurements the wheels measure 7.5in(190.5mm) to the outer edge.
from the back of the hub to the edge of the wheel they measure 4.375in(111.125mm)

    190.5/2 = 95.25-111.125 = -15.875 so I guess they are et15.875

    correct me if i'm wrong.

    Thanks for looking.

Nice staggered set of wheels. I had a set of these in 15X7 that I sold awhile back. These would look sharp on an E21.

Damn, those are sexy! If I only had a spare grand laying around. Would you take a Scout 80 in trade?

Shit who am I kidding? I don't even have an extra $10 laying around!

Those are great looking wheels! Any interest in a trade? I have some brand new Enkei 92s, 15x8 et25, gold with polished lip.

edit: The Enkeis only retail for 700-750 so I would add cash.

Here's my '83 with an identical set that I sold a couple weeks ago.

Always wanted a Scout but I have to stick with cash on these. No room for more vehicles.

Sorry I'm wheel rich and cash poor. I want to avoid trades.

Why do I always have extra money when there isn't shit worth buying and then the good stuff comes up when I'm broke? LAME! Hopefully my extra camera gear and wheels sell quickly because I need these on my 320i!

I read your posts. But how about a staggered set of Rials and some cash on top for your wheels? Then you get something to fatten the wallet and still have interesting staggered E21 wheels in the garage.

Rials would be sweet but I need to stay focused on thinning out the wheel collection.

Sucks that they are welded. Got a pic of the welding bead? Good lookin wheel though.

I have a picture of the welds on my 'motorsport series' wheels that were also 3 piece welded together. Looks like there's a thin strip of aluminum added with a weld bead on each side. Obviously done with a motorized welder. It is factory, I've seen several sets of these.

Not a close up shot but I think these show the bead is very clean. Other that changing out the lips, is there an advantage to not having them welded?

    Layne,

I remember drooling over similar 1 piece Motorsport wheels in the late 80's. The 3-piece are one of my favorite all time wheels. Beautiful.

Nope that's pretty much it. Bend a lip and you just have to replace the half, not the whole hoop. Plus it makes it easier to widen them if needed.

+1...I was thinking what if it could be made back into a true 3 piece rim?

Never the less, they are very nice!

Buyer backed out. Back on the market.

Boxed up and ready to ship...

A forum member asked that take the worst of the wheels to a tire shop and have it balanced. They added one weight and it was good to go. Of course it needs to be rebalanced when a tire is mounted.

At least the video shows it does not roll like a stop sign.

Thanks for noticing. So proud of myself I felt compelled to take pictures.

I recently shipped a similar set and the buyer reported that when he came home he found that the UPS driver had thrown the boxes over his fence. He said they would have been damaged if they were not over packaged.

Home Depot boxes, 4x8 sheet of 3/4 in. styrofoam, pipe insulator around the lip and plastic wrapped. The boxes will get filled with foam peanuts. Overkill.

    You never know.
Years ago at work we received a server once and outwardly the box showed no signs of abuse. But at some point it had received a big enough impact to actually knock the cards out of the motherboard.
I could not believe my eyes.
That had to be one hell of an impact.

    FYI:
when you go to get shipping estimates for that lucky buyer, in addition to the weight, be sure to enter in the box dims, plus add 1" more to your measurements for each entry just to CYA.
It looks like they may charge the package under oversize 1 rates.

This thread makes me feel good. I just rescued a car from Winslow Arizona this past Sunday. It has Weds Bavarias in black. Back in the day, I remember seeing these wheels on an e21 and have loved them ever since.

Given their value, I bought a set of wheels and got a car for free. Good luck with your sale, I'm going to hold on to mine.

P.S. I am willing to part with the rear spoiler. Taking all offers.

Nice score. The "radial spoke" design just looks correct on the e21.

That rear spoiler is good for a 15-20% hp increase. Easily.

So what size tires fit best for these?
I can read 205-50-15 on your rear tire...
