So they are squared at 17x8. Not strong visually but quite light at 16+ lbs per wheel. I currently have DS1's. I have to shell out some cash, around $200 for the swap to push thru. I was more inclined to wait for a set of APEX wheels with a 17x9 configuration. Yay or Nay? I would appreciate some pics on the BBS's at 17x8. Most of the pics I searched were 18x8.5'x. Muchos Gracias amigos!

This is where true music is made...
BBS makes the best wheels in the world.
APEX is some other company.
It's not worth the inch, and the M3 does not need a BBK unless it is a race car or has mad turboz and cf underhood accoutrement, although the stock calipers are kinda scheissty.
If you can trade your POS DS1's and $200 for a set of BBS RC's You would be a complete idiot not to do it. (provided the BBS wheels aren't completely trashed)
The DS1 wheels weighs about 23 #'s, is soft like butter, and is a total pain to clean.
BBS isn't the best in the world, but they do make some very nice wheels. (best is such a bad term)
Heck, I fit 6 piston Wilwood superlight calipers under my 17x8 RG-r's no problems at all.

No matter where you go, there you are...
BBS makes wheels for F1, and has alot of advertising, and they are expensive. Therefor, they must be the best in the world.
Sold my rc's cause I like my rk's better.

Seriously...if you found some idiot to trade for $200 don't even think about it. Even of they are rough then go get them repaired. These wheels barely weigh 16 lbs and are are so nice!

Two words about wheels: OEM or BBS, or well, three words HRE. And, add OZ, SSR if you're a track guy. You get what you pay for. Surely one of four new cheap wheels will be ruined within a year and then you find... oh, they dont make that model anymore.
Just my .002
$200 plus DS1s? What are you waiting for? My rears are 17x9.

I love my ARC-8's. They are very light and 17x9 is the perfect size rim for the E36 IMO. You can never go wrong with BBS RC's though.
^^ Eddie really did an incredible job with those.
Can't wait to see them in person at T-Hill.
Damn, June 20th can't come soon enough.
