Alright fellas, its far fetched to put this out there right now, but how much damage could this lethal combo bring to the streets? If you ask me with a light-weight V8 and a twin turbo set up, this car would not only live up to the handling its meant for, but could very well be one of THE fastest bmw cars ever to be modded. Please let me know what you think

You'd run into the same problems that everyone who tried to FI the e46 M3 ran into.

So they just gave up and piggybacked. It works as you can see with HPF's and Active's kit.

I am certain a twin turbo package will be possible for this car...as there is a company in southern california which has already makes TT packages for the latest M5's....which this motor is direct based on. The aftermarket engine management units are already there as well. It will NOT be cheap by any means becuase of how high strung the new motor will already be at 12-to-1 compression** ...but fear not, u will see it at some point in the future for these cars.... ;)

What problems are those?
MANY people FI'd the E46 M3 without any problems. Do you know what you're talking about?

And yes, eventually, someone will S/C and turbo these cars.
The car won't even be released to the US until next Spring, so it's a bit early to be worrying about FI now, IMO.

Why do you think BMW made the air box and hood so big...? Beause the top of that engine will definatly look sweet with a a couple of low boost turbos...!!

In a few years :)

Yeah...In a few years from Active Autowerke for probably $17,000 or some crazy amount. As this car is starting out with 400+ horsepower, even the "stage 1" superchager or turbo kit will make some retarded power that WILL NOT be even remotely affordable in the least.

I don't think it has to be that extreme. The N65 has 420hp, with just minor tweaks the engine will get better. Using that minimalist idealogy, even small twin turbo's (biturbo) set up using just 3-4psi would yield interesting results. My guess would be 40hp and 50ft-lb's of torque..!

Like already stated, it won't be for a couple years.
$10k is my guess.

the S65 will be alot easier to tune than the S54
MSS60 will not use MAF sensors anymore and will base tuning on speed/density
this should make boosting the car extremely easy, ofcourse we still have to crack the code first
i think 6-8psi is easily doable as long as an adequate intercooler is used
power gains could be as high as 100hp on such an efficient engine, possibly even more
only time will tell

I hope the aftermarket produces something along these lines...

if someone brings me a car ill gladly become the aftermarket
i have access to evevrything i need except the car
even tuning doesnt worry me as much as getting an owner to part with his/her toy for a few months
sure would be worth it though...
