hope this isnt a repost, but i relle want to completelly deck out my e30, turbo and all, and was wondering if anybody knew about any online stor catalogues that I could look at for front skirts (aftermarket e30 1987 IS)side skirts (same car) and rear apron (same car) and spoilers too?

How much money do you have availible to you right now?

And so help me god, if I see your car with a ricer body kit and aluminum ricer wing on it, I will find a way to get up to kanukville and bitchslap you personally.

WEll right now im just putting ideas together to to decide where my money is gonnah go. I also want to start putting part together because this is a restoration project im taking my time on. So basically, time is no object. How did u know Im canadian?

EDIT: BTW I wasnt going for ricer, I just wanna relle wanna make it look better than stock, front apron with intercooler grill etc. and not aluminium spoiler, I just dont think the foam stock hump if you will on the trunk is good anough for a car so nice.

No it doesn't.

If you want body kits like that, buy a honda civic, nissan 240sx(easier to turbo by far than an e30 by the way...), or an infinity g20(also easy to turbo).

js84318i

Even if you did get that kit youll never get it on your car! and if you do i bet it will look like shit unless your name is chip foose. Unless you have been doing custom fiberglass work for about twenty years. Dont waist your time. 1-suspension work 2-wheels 3-motor work (swap) 4- body and paint 5- gut the interior unlees its in nice shape.

Do you now what kinda wheels those are??

deathray187
01-13-2007, 05:55 PM
Do you even have the car yet? That money could take the suspension from worn out to kick ass, and probably have money left over for wheels if you figure in install and paint fees. Body kits are rice, they look like crap, don't do anything but make the car slower, and are a total waste of money.

1-suspension work 2-wheels 3-motor work (swap) 4- body and paint

This is a good plan.

Oh come on, it's not that bad. While I don't like many of the mods (ebay headlights, M-badge & M-roundel, obnoxious vanity plate, and silver wiper, mirrors, and windshield sticker to a lesser extent), it has some clean work done.. It has custom Vader seats, the fitment of the body kit looks very nice, the hardtop is rare, the paint is deep and shiney, the red kidneys are a nice touch, the drop and wheels fill out the widebody nicely etc. Plus, those rims look like custom widened M-parallels... nice custom work there, not to mention still 4 lug (from what I can see...). Those wheels might be entirely custom made, I have no idea what they are. The stance is nice, the car looks aggressive. And while I don't exactly like the widebody's style, I can appreciate that it is very "period-correct", think Ferrari Testarossa (THE car of the E30's era). It's also a little weird with the mismatched Reiger front, but nobody who didn't really know the E30 tuning scene would notice. Overall, while it's not what I would do, it DOES have a lot of nice custom work done to it.

x2, the car is on it's way to rice IMO. But the work done to it was definitely not half ass-ed. Who knows.. Maybe that owner purchased it looking clean and then added all those nastys to it. Anyway.. i give it a thumbs up to what it can be with a couple of "mod" deductions.

Does your car run perfectly? Are the suspension parts all in spec? If not, then you need to fix those, there's nothing that I laugh harder at than some body kit equipped car that misfires at idle like it's got a giant cam, squeaks and rattles over bumps, and leaks oil like the owner has a controlling share in texaco.

Don't worry about body mods just yet, you've probably got a LOT of work to do in the mean time.

Go ahead and do it. Ignore all the critics. When you are finished you will have turned a $3000 car into a $700 car that cost you over $5000. That's USD. Makes perfect sense to me, but then my ix has only had suspension, interior, exhaust and paint along with brakes, tires, break lines. Only body kit I have is 89 plastic bumbers on an 88. Just think what that would have paid for in fiberglass.

I have a car, Im about to get my liscence.

Learn to drive on the road for a while before modding your car beyond basic safety and maint. (that's a suggestion, by the way)

its not my fault I cant spell.

:confused Of course it is. Yours and whatever school system you are part of...

I CAN drive and Do race.

There is a real difference between the two, as I suspect you're going to learn the hard way...

im suddenly starting to think that everyone on this site is a stuck up american prick.

Surely you didn't expect that people would hold back their opinions on an aesthetic (–adjective-pertaining to a sense of the beautiful) question like body kits for the E30?

The net is that most of them don't look good to most in the mainstream E30 crowd, but it is your car - make it make you happy. If you're just getting your license, make sure the brakes work, that all the fluids are good, belts (incl. timing) are fresh, etc. and get used to the car. Then start modding it. You'll know by then whether you want mods for performance or looks, and spend your money most effectively.

It is a tough crowd here, but if you hang around long enough you'll see you really weren't hit as hard as some. Maybe they couldn't mail your complimentary, industrial-sized grain of salt to Canada.... :)

And you accuse us of being unkind. Did we hurt feelings? You asked for suggestions and when you didn't like the answers you completely discounted the advice. Doesn't mean the advice was bad. Maybe our mistake was assuming that you really were looking for input besides reinforcing the your desire for a "wide body kit". If you don't want to know, don't ask! Still, I agree that it is your car. If you want to make it look like something from Tokyo Drift, that is your right. Just don't expect the attitudes around here to change to admiration. Won't happen, but you will be able to find good information and people willing to help if you are willing to listen. And for your own good, learn to spell and punctuate. The difference between u and me is Im 15 and I know that it is a bad idea to cut any springs in any car at any time during its life. Id like to see your cut springs in the the spring, I also like to see your chassis damage after you hit a pothole.

wHY DONT YOU SUCK ME OFF YOU PUSSY!

Hey relax man. Don't start swearing up a storm and talking shit on a forum. You can talk all day on this and never have to do a thing to back it up. Stop talking and build this sweet car that you keep telling us all about and if it is anything what you say it is then we might be ok with you. But for the time being just shut your mouth. There is no need to make yourself feel all high and mighty by talking shit to a 15 year-old. And yes your mustang still sucks. :alright

And lastly of course its the education system I belong to im CANADIAN remember? WORST EDUCATION SYSTEM IN PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF THE PLANET EARTH.

the Canadian education system was pretty good when I went through it a few years ago ... I'm (oh look, I know how to use an apostrophe - too bad you don't seem to be able to, - oh look, I know the difference between too and to) a Canadian living in the USA, and I still think that e30 body kit sucks so it's not just the "american pricks". Try just a little harder in school (it is a two-way street ... - oh damn, there I go using hyphenation correctly) and you can get a good job to pay for some decent mods.

Oh boy, it is threads like this that give the e30 section a bad rap everywhere else on this forum. This is why we are known as OT jr. I love OT, but OT deserves to stay there, and no where else outside of it.

Anyway, I agree with everyone telling you to do basic maintenance first, and THEN get to modifying it with go fast mods or aesthetic mods. Personally, the only widebody I like on the e30 is the e30 M replica widebodies. Good luck with your modding, and enjoy the e30 when you get it (or when you get your license).
