I just got a copy of BMW Techinical Information System. Does any one want a copy it has a lot of DIY for all 5 bmw I know it has all e39. If you want a copy pm me and I send you my address. I was looking at this program more it has a most all BMW cars all you have to do is chose your car and enter the last 7 of you vin and all the info will pop up this sytem program is great. If you can make an iso I have a friend who would host it for us. That way we wouldn't have to deal with snail mail. I think you can use something like WinIso to make an iso file, but I've never made an iso before. Let me know if you get it into an iso and need hosting. Thanks for sharing this!

I am tring to make the ISO right now. Where do you want me to upload it to? You all should then just download it. I will post the instuctions on how to setup the cd once we get it on the net!! I have the ISO it is like 670MB!! As for snail mail proity mail is like 2-3 days meaning I will get them on tuesday or wednessday. $Hit monday is a holiday. If I get the mailers it will only take me 1-2min to burn and I live close to post office. Send back should have by friday. Please send USPS (not UPS or FEDEX.)

I was just try to help us all out by sending it out. It should cost about $1 to send it cd cost about $0.01 and $1 prepaid envolope. It cost the person $0.93 to sent it to me. on a cable connection you should be uploading at about 40k a sec, even though 128 is normally advertised

okay everyone, its up there. It was a problem on my end.
The .iso is 611 meg, on a decent connection it shouldnt really take that long. Im getting 700k+ trying to download it. that should be around 12 minutes but id give it a good 45 mins or so just to be safe if you are concerned with it.
You will need something like nero or alcohol 120% to burn the ISO image to disc and then install it.
Kevin is going to come on here later on and give you instructions on the install if you cant figure it out once you have it burned.
if you use alcohol and the virtual drives you can just mount it to a virtual volume and run it without having to burn it
if you guys have any questions about how to do any of this get in touch with me and ill explain it in detail.

Launch SysAdmin Program from the desktop shortcut or the start menu.

Select TIS on the top and from the pull-down menu, select install.

You may need some time to get use to how it works. Helps to have the last 7 of your vin arround enjoy.

Follow the prompts, this will install the "BMW Sysadm" utility. Run this utility after the install completes and from the menus select TIS and then Install. This will install the TIS and will place a shortcut for you on the desktop.

Nice work guys! now when i try to run setup.exe i get an error... setup.exe is damaged hmmm what am i doing wrong? im using a program called Undisker to access the file structure.

You can do anything with a mac! I use Virtual PC to view the TIS on my mac. No need to boot into it so you don't get stuck using XP. Easy to find a copy on bit torrent if you don't already have it.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I've loaded the 2006 version.
I'm running an ISO image loader to use the program as cd (not hard drive).

The TIS opens but only in German. I selected English when I did the TISadmin install and TIS install.

Please help me open this in English. Thanks.

Guy's not a scammer. I have the cd's myself (actually they are 4 DVD's and 1 cd has TIS, ETK and some other ones - I'm at work now, can't remember all of them, but it lists also the retrofitting parts you might use from one model to another). I got them from e-bay and mine covers all models of BMW since inception. It has the bikes too. Also, I think that my version is a copy, but it works flawlessly. Needless to say, if you're in doubt about what parts you have in your car, you just type in your VIN, and all the info is there - that is if you didn't do any mods. It's quite a powerful software.

ok i downloaded the seed and use azureus to download it. now how do i run this all i have are 3 files with a img, ccu, ccd extension, how do i run these do i need something else.

use the program called ImgBurn to burn the items to a disc(dvd)

dvd opens .img files differently, burn the files to a dvd using img urn than then load dvd and shabam.

I got mine to work using Daemon Tools (google it) its pretty self explanitory... Just mount the image when you wanna use the TIS.

You don't have to put it on a DVD. The image is only about 650MB in size, so it'll fit on a standard CD-R. Just use a burning app such as Nero to burn the .cue file onto a CD-R. Once it's burned, just look on the disc for the .exe file to first install the sysadm application. Once sysadm is installed, run it and within it choose the option to install TIS to the hard drive.

Alternatively, if you don't want to burn a CD-R, just use a virtual drive application (such as Daemon Tools) to mount the image, and then proceed with the install.

im on a cable connection, I think its 10mgs or 20 i cant remember. It was one of those things where 5% took 20 mins and the rest took 2 seconds.

doesn't seem to work on my xp pro x64, but works on my vista home premium 32bit

edit: when you use in vista, you must right click on the shortcut, go to properties, then the compatabiltiy tab, then select run this program as an administrator. otherwise the tis will only show a bunch of question marks.

I can't get it to install on my laptop with XP pro. I see setup.exe running in the processes but it just hangs there for hours. When I shut down the laptop, it says something about setup MFC won't run on 64bit?

Bump. Where can I get TIS? Don't want to pay.

I've already checked demonoid, torrentleech, waffles, mininova and the pirate bay. None of them have it. TPB has a few but I can't seem to connect to any peers.

I have TIS 02/2004 if anyone wants it, but I'd like to get a newer one.
