Hellrot Red = Bright Red?

Does anyone know if these are the same? I've seen both I think. Thanks,

nope they're a different shade. brilliant red came on the early E36's and hellrot started showing up in 94-95 i believe.

i think brilliant red did not have the clearcoat, not 100% sure tho'.

just open your hood and look on the strut tower, paint code should be there. good luck

If i'm not mistaken. Hellrot does = Bright Red (w/ clear coat) and Brilliant Red is a different shade does not have clear coat.

Yes.. bright red is Hellrot. Hellrot is in German.. bright red is english. :)

Stylin.. you sure? What you say sounds somewhat right at least because my strut tower says Hellrot Red but my dealers computer lists Bright Red.. Thanks guys..

doh sorry I got confused, but yes brilliant red is a different shade. It does make sense that hellrot is bright red, as the touch up paint that came with my car says bright red on it but lists the same color code as hell rot (what it says on the strut tower)
