I did a quick search but only found the word style :shifty dammit anyway

well i would like to know if it could be done. I know anything can be done but i would like to possibly see some pics of e36's with them on (pref. 4 doors)

i guess i really need to know what widths the came in and what the offsets are....

thanks James

The 5 Series wheels will not work on a 3 Series.

i dont understand why people post this???

they have the same bolt pattern right??? then they will fit regardless of the car needing fender mods/ spacers or have the offset machined down

they will bolt up!

i need to know the stock offset of the 17x8 style 5's.....

i will be rolling the fenders here soon so is there any other reason why they will not fit? I have a friend who owns a rim and tire shop who could machine down the hub for me as well

The E39 wheels have a different center bore and the offset is incorrect. If you machine the hub down you will be erducing the load capacity of the wheel. You may also need to do more than just a fender lip roll. I do not know what widths the factory BMW wheels come in.
I suppose if you really want it to go on the car you can. The bolt pattern is the same but the center bore is not and you will have a vibration.

I don't carry the BMW factory wheels. Not all of there wheels are the same width and offset. My thing is I suppose if you work hard enough you can make anything work. Most people do not want to pull the fenders out to make a wheel fit a car. The 5 Series wheels are going to stick out 1" further than the 3 Series wheels. If you are willing to do that then I have rings that will fit the OE BMW wheels. When I answer questions on the Forum most people are not willing to do what is needed to make something fit. They just want to know can they jack up the car and put the wheels on.
Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Jim thank you for the post!

Sorry for sounding like an ass. I had just gotten back from a wheel shop asking for the hubcentric rings and they just basically told me it could not be done. Idiots. i wasnt very happy

Well i do infact plan on putting the style 5's on the 3 series.

The offset on the style 5's is + 20 stock on an e36 is + 38 i believe so that equates to roughly 3/4". I can easily pull the fenders that much and plan on doing so!

I would love to purchase the hubcentric rings from you. Do the e34 and e39 have different hub sizes and if so shoudl i look for a specific set that came off of a e34 or e39????

thanks for the info, james

Just call me at the number listed. If the wheels are for the E34 you won't need them though.
