Hi guys,

is there any difference between the M50B25 and the M50B20 intake manifold? I'm looking for an suitable manifold for my M52 engine, where the throttle is farther away from the bodywork. And the M50B20 intake manifold should be a bit more smaller than the M50B25 manifold, isn't it?

Thanks
Torsten

Sorry, I don't have pics... I have an 328i also.

Here are the partnumbers of the both manifolds:
M50B20: 11 61 1 738 940 (http://bmwfans.info/part-11611738940/)
M50B25: 11 61 1 735 727 (http://bmwfans.info/part-11611735727/)

Same part numbers in EU and US.

thanks
Torsten

actually both intake manifolds look the same

yes, they look the same, but they should have a difference because of the different part numbers.

I see that this is an old thread..
But did anyone find out if there is a difference or what the difference is??

yeah the difference is the port size on the manifold the m50b20 has a smaller port size in the actual manifold and will not fit m52 because the m52 ports in the head are larger than the ones on the intake, you can make a gasket if you like but it’s no as good compared to m50b25 intake manifold where they are match ported

better late reply than not one at all :)
