    M Roadster walking on WRX :: video

    I hope this isn't a repost, but Mr. Search button didn't come up w/ any hits.

    A friend w/ a mustang came in today and said 'you've gotta see this video' It's of a WRX (sti?) and a M Roadster playing on a highway.

    Is this someone here on bf.c or roadfly?

    I played with a WRX on the way to H/C. We ran for a bit on the interstate and he just walked on down the road. Part of it was due to my unwillingness to play too hard in the wet but a lot of it was due to him being able to breathe a lot better at high RPM. : I gotta get the cams ... or the twin screw

    Guy guys guys....are you really serious about not being to walk a WRX in stock ///M form??

    Do the math, stock WRX has less ponies, weighs more, and has AWD which results in hella drivetrain loss. Most WRX's are lucky to dyno in the 180hp range.
    I've capped so many WRX's at the strip and on the street I've lost count.

    I always heard they were hell under 80mph, but after that they kinda run out of steam... stock...

    Nah, not any faster than the ///M. WRX is slower 0-60 and in the 1/4 than the ///M. And they do run out of steam on the HW, BIGTIME.

    It is indeed a severe spanking.

    After the first race:

    Driver: He did take off way first.



    It does look like ?moadster? did indeed have the roll on advantage. You can tell that he did that move which puts the ///M right at that spot where it has great leap and the Subie was not spooled. But really, while it did help it look that much more dramatic, it just did not matter.
