I'm not a buyer and I'm not going to knock your price... just a question... are the wheels on backwards?

    Should make a nice project!

Saw this on craigslist, and I'm trying to talk a friend of mine into getting his first ///M car. It would be fun to fix this car up.

wheels...yeah it looks like that tires were mounted backwards..tires are directional so i didnt bother getting them dismounted and mounted up again..

but yeah i want the motor..was going to keep it so i have a spare for my M5...but if it can be saved from being a parts car, that would be cool too...i feel bad parting it out..

this stumped me for a bit...how can wheels be backwards?!
Currently looking for e24. PM me if you see anything interesting.

Also, looking for my old car. Sold it in 2014 to someone in Northern CA. He sold it shortly thereafter and doesn't remember to who. It was a bronzit '85 euro, lowered, headlight wipers/washers (that worked!), rear black spoiler, 5 speed, nutria interior (however i removed original buffalo leather interior and replaced with manual sport seats (front and rear).

the direction of the throwing star should be the other way around to direct air into the brakes while driving..but i guess the tires shop mounted the tires the opposite way...i cant move them around since tires are directional..

Are you willing to trade for a E30?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

    Auraraptor,
With respect, please explain to me why this car is such a great deal?
    My point
Very high miles == rebuild soon
    Body paint
    interior
    trans
    on on and on
This car would end up costing someone a small fortune, and they will be out much when time comes to sell.
Much better of paying 14 to 20,000 for such a stronger example

Different outlooks...low cost of entry implies someone could have a M6 as a complete 'toy' for a while/few miles and when the time time came, just move to a whole new car, and part out this one. Your outlook focuses on a prolonged restoration-relationship.

    very well said, Auraraptor

noah...if you want a perfect example, pay $20-25k for one...I never said my car for sale was perfect, nor it was a parts car..for my asking price, you are basically buying the drivetrain, that is in great working condition with the car for free...i challenge you to find a complete S38 motor and transmission for about $5-6k...

so noah, i guess your point is, my car is worth about $2k? is that what your post meant?

and noah, if you have a problem with my price, then DONT buy my car..i hate it when people post on other peoples thread with nothing better to say..

there are people out there wanting to build a race car, track car and dont want to pay $25k..so there are other people who have other plans for a car like mine..

With 1500 or so US M6's ever made, anyone who parts one out that isn't rusted into oblivion deserves to be beaten with a connecting rod.

It looks like a decent car at a fair price to me. Some people just want to drive and not worry about some jerk scratching a $25,000 car.
