The only issue I had, was the sidewall of my left front tire had a bubble. Most likely from a pothole. RFT Coverage took care of that for me.
I think people should also mention if their cars are modified with any piggybacks or anything else as it may possibly skew results, such as people throwing CELs.

Overall it's been a dream. Just turned 13000 miles. Delivered Jan 07.
1. My biggest complaint is with the run flats. I got a huge hole in my tire between Indianapolis and Cincinnati on my way to a Cubs game. Technically I should not have driven the distance that I did but I was running late for the game. A Chevy dealer plugged it for me. Hate the whole concept of run flats so I keep a spare in my trunk now.
2. The seatbelt presenter. Just a dumb looking POS that keeps getting more fragile by the day. My passenger side presenter refuses to retract all the way now unless I force it in. I'm sure my dealer will spend four hours fixing it. What a waste of engineering effort.
3. Had the light bulb sensor go off though my lights were all working fine. Took the dealer three hours to reset it.
4. I can't stand the pretentious nature of bimmer dealerships. Can't explain this one but I find Audi and Ford dealerships to be more down to earth.
Build Month/Year: 10/2007
Type: E92
Model: 328i
Miles: 28,200 miles
Major problem(s): Ticking at idle (especially after cold start). Problem has grown louder since I first noticed it weeks after delivery. I had the bleeding procedure outlined in SIB 1109 075 (performed at 28,000). The noise is no longer present, but if it returns, I will need to have my cylinder head replaced.
Minor problem(s): CBS data incorrect for brake pads (required reset 5 times). Brake pads no longer squealing like stuck pigs, but only after: Brake pad sensor wires trimmed, pads resurfaced, still squealing. Trimmed and resurfaced again. Eventually replaced all four pads and each axle sensor at 21,000 (approx.) Four (4) new tires needed at 17,800 miles - replaced with OEM Bridgestone Potenzas -- I paid for the rears and BMW paid for the fronts in an effort to appease me due to the tire's short service life, and high price. 28,000 miles: Driver's side front seat not flipping forward and back smoothly -- rear trim piece of seat replaced. Also: Trunk storage compartment handle replaced.
Modifications: SSK, OEM M Dead Pedal, BMW aluminum pedals, Bumper Reflector Delete, Flat Black Kidney Grille, Hardwired Bel Tronics Rx65, Rear Fogs Enabled, Lamin-X Fog light covers, Black Emblem overlays, Debadged

Build Month/Year: 10/2007
Type: E92
Model: 335i
Miles: 39,000 miles
Major problem(s): None - unless you consider a bad fuel pump major (see my minor prob)
Minor problem(s):
1. Rear bumper tow cover fell off - dealer replaced free
2. C/D player continues to run (without sound) CD even when I turn the car off or when I switch to tuner - so when I go back to CD, it's not where I left it, and still running. --- this stopped happening (spontaneously)
3. At 7200 miles it kicked and knocked - I figured HPFP, they said CPU needed reset, was getting lean fuel mixture. It's happening again at 9,000 miles - not happy. This time, I was told I needed a new (HPFP) fuel pump. (See #4)
4. HPFP replaced - took two days, I had a 535 loaner and my car's been running like a champ since. Overall, I'm happy. Still happy!
5. HPFP replaced (yes, again) - 30k miles, long crank on start up, took it in over lunch, they drove me to work, picked me up at 5 all finished.
6. HPFP replaced (yes, again and again) - 38,500 miles, got a 'reduced power' warning light. The dealer picked up my car out of my garage, replaced the fuel pump and parked it back in my garage while I was on vacation. Runs like a charm again...stupid fuel pump.

Issues.. man, a little more than I was expecting but thank God for warranty.
-Biggest would be with the Run Flat Tires, replaced both which balded by 10,000 and ALSO had punctures from a nail or something in them.
My rear tires at 19k (replaced at 10k fresh new), are NOW bald again. I do not even launch or burn out hardly ever, maybe a couple times. I drive fairly decent, just punching it occasionally on the free way.
-At 17k.. Steering Lock sign would not turn off, had it checked out, turned out they replaced the WHOLE entire Steering Column.
-Service at 13k.. apparently there was a programming recall for the navigation they updated
besides that, I've noted from the beginning til now, the engine does heat up quite a bit with heavy driving but not so much anymore, i avoid hammering the crap out of my car and only occasionally punch it, mostly on the freeway

only minor was the tires that came with it. the bridgestone rfts were crap. i swapped with non-rfts michelin pilot sports and its like a totally different car. other than that my ultimate driving machine has been perfect, lets hope the next two years are as good!

No Majors, O2 sensor had to be replaced.
Like merchantmariner said, once i replaced the bridgestones that came with the car it felt much smoother and less road noise.
Oh. One thing actually, i have the convenience key package and i'd say it works like 30-40% of the time while its in my pocket. Someone suggested that maybe the tint was interferring? I have only 25% tint, any ideas?

We had an E91 come in today that was out of warranty (over on the miles); that was a bit strange.
out of no where, my car felt like it was running on 2 cylinders.. no acceleration, was not keepin an idle..
i restarted and it was fine. they told me to bring it in if it happens again... how reassuring.

Notice the worn out weather strip just above the door catch, this was covered by the factory warranty in my case, both sides were replaced.

Both wategates replaced, a sensor sent the car into safe mode and that took a month to fix. New tires $1250...yikes
Seems like more trouble than I have ever had with a car.
06 325i w/31K miles
-left fog light got loose (on one side) while on a highway - luckily fixed by dealer under warranty (dealer replaced fog light and bracket supporting it) but common BMW!!!!! how can anything get loose in a car???????
Type: E90
Model: 323i
Build Month/Year: 04/2007
Delivery Date: May 25, 07
Delivered Miles: ~5 miles
Current Miles: approx 23,000km (14000 miles)
Major problem(s): None
Minor problem(s): CBS data incorrect for brake pads (required reset), car left in economy mode at delivery (required reset otherwise won't rev beyond 4500rpm) + cracked windshield (fixed by dealer and covered by my 0 deductible comp. ins.). At around 23000 km they had to take apart the diff and grease it due to a clicking noise at launch (PUMA Measure #4670944, see this post http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1029234).
Modifications: Cosmetic + wheels (see my sig)
Regular Maintenance: Oil change done at 1 year interval (at ~20,600 km and CBS was indicating ~2500 more to go) - FREE, microfilter replaced at same time - FREE, wiper bladed replaced at same time (63$).
Oh yeah, I had a nail in one of my tires which was eventually replaced for no cost under my tire hazard warranty, had to go in twice though, once to get them to take my tire info and order one + take photos to submit the claim and another to get the tire replaced once it arrived. Even with 4 dealer trips, I'd still rate reliability as excellent since none of these issue were anything but a minor annoyance and they got taken care of promptly and expertly. I sure hope the next 2 years are as smooth, knock on wood.

Bought mine 4/08 w/35K miles. Recently, my moon roof stopped working. Dealer said it needed to be reprogrammed. Yesterday, "Service Engine" light went on. Another trip to the dealer.
But, it's under warranty, and they have great loner cars. Other than that, LOVE the car.
