E30 316i Touring - E30 320i Convertible
wowowow! is that a bbs kit? and whats up with the indent in the hatch? any interior pictures? i've never seen the up close pics, thanks for sharing
by indent i mean the shape of the hatch. the touring comes straight down and is shaped like a t almost, while the luchensbros (sp?) seems to keep the original e30 coupe shape, and curves up while still having the c pillar meet the edge of the trunk. it also looks like it opens like a regular pop up trunk with the entire back window lifting. that and that spoiler, and wiper, i think is a really cool design. is that an antenna by the rear wiper? the other luchenbros touring has the m3 roof antenna just like the regular touring did, but i dont see on on the roof of the bbs kitted one.
crap...now i want one
found more pictures of the car:
moare!!!

While I normally think hatchbacks/tourings look fugly, I think the E30 makes a gorgeous touring, and very, very cool hatchback. I want one now.
Chase
nice find, although the interior trunk panels don't seem to line up very well, and it has regular door hinges for the folding rear seats what's that stuff in the back?
EDIT: never mind, it's the backs of the taillights

"yes its a 520, no its not a 4 pot!"
Holy crap, E30 M3 Touring is sick! There is no fail with an e30, all configurations are just so freakin win!
Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute. Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
i dont understand why you post here? is it because your car is boxy like ours?
lol, agreed. i hate the excess m badges and crap, but it does look awesome, even though its an inop 4 door. some guy made a red 4 door m3 touring, but the body work was shotty.
wow davey i just saved all those pictures.
I want a 3 door e30 touring bad!

That 2-door wagon is too sweet.
Reminds me of the old VW Fox wagons. Any SCCA Pro Rally fans out there remember a guy named Sakkas Hajiminas (sp?!)? Back in the late '90s he built a nutter of a 2-door Fox wagon with a twin-turbo Audi 2.8 V6 and Quattro. He ran it in a bunch of events and it either broke (80% of the time) or won (20%). Made something like 450bhp and looked horrifically cool.
Build that hatch! BUILD IT NOW!!!

*update*
I still need the e34 oil pan and OBD1 conversion parts to put the M52 in and recently located a complete rear clip from an e30 m3, includes everything from the b-pillar back plus the one side skirt I don't have. I'm waiting for pictures before deciding to pick up.
I have (2) e30 2.93 LSD's and a complete black leather interior from an e36 for sale to help fund some of those parts, lol.
Found two black leather non-sport seats in great condition since my driver side was broken beyond repair, just something clean to use until I get the recaro's [replica most likely]. Also managed to pick up an un-cracked dash! Eventually everything, I mean everything from head to toe, will be wrapped in synthetic suede.
I know it's way premature but thinking about paint colors, lol. Also looking into using a Z3 dash with M coupe center console...
1. Black on black on black...
2. Nogaro Silver with black suede interior
3. Maserati MC12 "Blu Victory" with black or e46 M3 cinnamon colored interior.
Thinking all the above would look great with my euro staggered style 5's.
As she sits now, lol...

Anyone still wondering, the indent in the hatch is due to the tailgate used. These early cars are the prototypes for the 'proper' Touring. The tailgate on the prototypes came from a Golf. Note also that the tailgate only opens to the normal saloon trunkline. The rear lights and plate stay put.
As far as numbers, I believe 11 were originally made, of which 6 still exist.
Incidently, the white one in the pics belongs to a guy in the UK called Dips. He runs a customising place in the UK, and can be found on the PBMW forum where he's a moderator.
My mate owns that white 2 door touring!
^and we hate him, tell him to check out the thread
jealousy ITT
5 door touring ftw?
I'll take it.
Project solver: get a regular touring and weld the back doors shut permanently (like shaving a door handle but the whole door). Viola!
OP, any more updates on this project?
