    9.92@145.5

It was a good day at MIR! I finally nailed my 9 sec pass!!! Big thanks to Sean Ivey again for making great power and keeping the motor together. I was hot lapping the car several passes in a row while I was trying to get the launch dialed in and the car trapped 144-146 all day long with horrible short times. The car either bogged badly due to a super sticky track or spun badly due to the street tire cars dragging water up the track.

I figured out my problem and got back to it's 1.5X 60' and let it rip. The end result was 9.92@145.52 mph. I was on the limiter before the traps on the 9 sec pass because I forgot to raise the limit on the MSD box in addition to the AEM. I swung back around after a few more changes but unfortunately I broke a diff output flange on the launch.

    Mike,

It was great working on the project with you. You are one dedicated guy and the hard work paid off, pushing the keys was the easy part, you had obstacles and you got over them.
I think if you really run at 100% power you will go deeper into the 9s, it does look so smooth going down the track, effortless almost.

It is very odd to me that with the amount of HP you make you are going this fast yet there are other cars with much higher hp that have not run close, these cars seem to have very good drivetrains that can handle 9 sec passes :-)

Big Congrats MR FIRST E36 IN THE 9s!!!

Congratulations Mike! I knew that it was only a matter of time for you. You have that 60ft nailed when the track is right!

It was Ulysses' coolant bleeder screw and a quart of Mobil 1 from Donovan that pushed the car into the 9's!

Congrats on the new times and Donovan's axle destruction! They are both getting a little too close for my liking. Time to push the silver bullet a little harder.
