There are a few of these conversions but they're not very popular.

They're all pointlessly expensive and they don't always make as much power.

But I've seen a few. Give me a minute, I'll find some.

pointlessly expensive? .. cost is relative..and it makes decent power.. but for those who hadn't seen it - M70 in a Ferrari 250 GTO replica..
I've now seen the same engine in an Ultima, a Ferrari P4 Replica, a GT40 replica and a Lambo Diablo replica..

We have some crazy swaps done here in Sweden. (BTW I'm new here and yeah I'm from Sweden so you may have to excuse my, sometimes, half-ass English :P)

First up, a Nissan S13 with a S38B36 (M5 E34 3,6 engine) turbocharged (under construction)
200sx.kicks-ass.net/album/album.php?large=1&pic=82681&username=aslot

You'll find more pics here 200sx.kicks-ass.net/aslot/
Let me know if you need translation :P

And an old Swedish classic, Volvo 240 with a turbocharged 2,9l M50 24v engine:
pure-pf.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2433

There's at least pictures to look at :P

Least but not forgotten, DeTomaso Pantera with a BMW V8:

I could'nt post clickable links, as I'm a new member...

BMW motors are heavy and expensive. A lot of time when people are doing a big time swap, they are going for HP per dollar, or ease of install. That's why everything gets an LS1 lately.

My buddy is building a Porsche 962 replica this winter. He looked at all sorts of German motors and ended up with a Subaru SVX motor since its the closest he can get to a liquid cooled Porsche flat six for a sane budget. He chose based on weight, cost, and potential power. Also the flat six sits real low in the chassis for a low CG, where as most BMW motors are tall as hell (even the V motors are HUGE!).

Why go with 2 superchargers? You can make plenty of boost with one SCer with a small pully. Plus its way more expensive. I think you'd be better off with a single setup or turbos.

I'm new here, as well as being new to forums, I don't have a BMW but i'm working on getting a S70B56 from the 850csi into me fiero gt( going to be a kit car). i know it will fit although i need help to figure out what trans axle to mount it to, i hear the audi 5000, and the porsche 915 but i havent seen any swap like this and i figured this would be the right place to come for answers.
