    M50 Cylinder Head Freeze Plug?

    Hi

Please forgive the dumb question but... Does the cylinder head for a non-vanos m50 have a freeze plug in the back (firewall end) on the right opposite the heater coolant fitting? I overheated and it's pizzeling coolant from either the head gasket or head (not the coolant fitting.. already checked). It's hard to see with the engine in the car and although realoem shows something back there it has no part description.

    Thanks

    Bruce

    Many in the worshop.
number 3 here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...07&hg=11&fg=15 bolts to the back of the head, as mentioned when u asked before! its a pain to see, try getting a mirror and have a look, it could b the gasket or the pipe where it meets the housing. they r common 4 leaking
The church is close, but the road is icy, The pub is far, but i will walk carefully

    Thanks Tefal..

I Already checked item 3 and wish that were it! Using a mirror I can see it's leaking on the other side of the back of the head and fwiw there is a freeze plug there but it appears to be the hg.
