I just wanted to post that I didn't fall off the face of the earth.
My car was running well with the exception of some fuel system issues related to the twin walbro 255 pumps. I have about 2000 miles on the new setup running 17psi on pump gas. I have been very busy at the shop and have had little to no time to work on my own cars.
A few weeks ago I tried to fix my fuel system woes. The dual walbros were sucking more gas then the return siphon could provide. I made several changes to the routing and design of the fuel system so that I could run below 1/2 tank and still have a fuel system to support 800+whp. I finally came up with a dual siphon system that seems to have eliminated all of my problems. I now have factory function with big power capability. I will be putting together a kit most likely consisting of a billet pump holder and custom lines/siphon system.
Last week I got all of the issues taken care of and made some slight changes in preparation for race gas/higher boost. I was driving the car last night and over-revved the car and bent some exhaust valves. Oh well, back to the shop she goes. I should have things taken care of this weekend. New parts are on order. I was really trying to get to the track a few times before the 10/8/07 track rental at MIR.

My car was running for like 30 minutes one time and I had the same problem. I don't feel like running out of fuel at half a tank. I would love to purchase this system once you have it ready for sale.
P.S. Can't wait to meet you at MIR!

I'll be at the track no matter what. I'll drag race a moped if I have to.

I love this forum! Great cars, hot chicks, broken drive shafts, blown o-rings, and bent exhaust valves all in one!

Mike any update on the E46 project?
Steve
That's interesting about the dual walbros. I just finished a dual walbro pump hanger for my E30 fuel tank and didn't think about keeping fuel in the pickup bowl once the level drops below the top of the bowl. There is the siphon/return line that picks up fuel from the driver side half of the tank and pours into the bowl the pump/s sit in on the passenger side, but it sounds like you are draining the pickup bowl faster than the siphon/return line can fill it up, once you are below half tank.
I know Andreas ran (is still running?) dual intank walbros in his S38 E30 M3 but I don't know if he did anything special to keep more fuel in the pickup bowl.
I'm currently not doing anything special. I had considered trying to remake and replace the stock return/siphon line with a larger diameter tube, but figured it would require cutting the top of the tank off to get at it. Welding that back together could get interesting.
Any chance your fix might work for an E30 tank?
