X3, X5 & X6 (E53, E70, E71, E83) (2000 - current) BMW invented a new word when they introduced their SUVs to the world: Sport Activity Vehicle. Sportier and with more car like agility than the standard SUV, with all of the hauling perks for a more active lifestyle. Introduced in 1996, the X5 continues to be a hit. The younger sibling, the X3, was born in 2003.

Footrest.....

Anyone know where I can get a footrest piece (IE like a dead pedal cover - something like a brushed aluminum dead pedal from an aftermarket pedal set) ?

Thanks!!

Actually..... no

Please - No flames...

My dad has a Benz ML - he wants something to cover the footrest in his car, because for some reason, unbeknownst to those who use SUVs for SUs (that'd be "Sport Utilities"..... hehehe), the ML comes w/a carpet, and no plastic/metal piece to cover the footrest, right where dirty feet and boots will wear a carpet.

He saw my UUC pedal set (specifically the dead pedal) and asked if I could find something similar for his car. So I thought I'd start w/an X5 forum, coz most people don't mod MLs

Thanks!!!

I dunno, go measure it and see if your e36 deadpedal would fit...

I would - but I was at my parents' place in Connecticut visiting when m'dad saw my dead pedal - I'm in Georgia, now, where I live.

I did tell him to take measurements and draw a rough picture on MS Paint to e-mail me so I can do the research for him - he's not in on what's down on the street

Good thought - got anymore? Maybe ideas for Benz aftermarket places.... ?

not sure about Benz aftermarket places, but you could always check to see if AMG or (if you have the cash) Brabus offers anything for the ML
