2012 BMW 3-series

Interesting, I'm wondering if this will really be the final design for the
3-series in 2012

Just a photoshop. You can tell the rims are from an M3, the headlights are from an E90, and the overall body is from the Concept CS (which may be out in a year or two, 7-series chassis, meant to compete w/ the Benz CLS, and Porsche/Aston Martin sedans), with some E90 thrown in.

It's not bad looking, though. But I personally would stress the return of the Sharknose, rather than emphesize the kidneys.

Disgusting. It evokes no emotional response... other than disgust.

I think it looks awesome, better than the current car. The only thing is to freshen up the front with the kidney grills. Overall, the lines look nice. Who knows though, 2012 is an eternity away in concept terms.

from an aerodynamic standpoint.. the Kidneys will have to be shrunk.. Maybe low and wide?

I agree completely. It almost doesn't look like a BMW. I know they want to keep improving and updating the cars, but this is not the way to go. Keeping a little more of that classic shape would be nice.

But, 2012 is a long way away, so this can (and will) change.

I'm sure it will get even fatter than it currently is.

I didn't like the CS concept either.

actually, its a really poor one..

those of you who think this picture holds an OUNCE of truth.. read a car magazine or something. This is 100% a random joe photoshop.
It holds no truth, and the car will NOT look like this.

Yeah, I actually did mean M6. I was half awake with that reply, and had already corrected about 3 typos in that post alone. Clearly you are a better proofreader than me.
