I will not give up (Track vid)

Went to track tonight thanks Ahmad for coming down and filming.
I wanted a easy full pass and got one .
It was actually to easy car could not get going this turbo needs to spin low rpm launches and a on off clutch make things slow and jerkey but once and all kicked in felt nice. Still shifting early hard to kepp a eye on tach and track and shift so I shift by ear.I have a shift light hooked up but never see it when racing .After this run they called me to the tower said had to get a cage they said they would let it slide but the MPH is getting up there. So that sucked then Ahmad and I had a Idea tell them I would run a easy pass but really try for a good run.
My friend that works there said they will only make you leave if you ran over again so I wanted one more run with a good start and taken her to redlime 8000rpm not 7400-7600. Well I found the next week link the input flange in the diff that bolts to axle went I should have know this would happen as I broke one last season.Any way there will be a upgrade on these as I talked to drive shaft shop already and he said he would make us some
Like the title says I will not give up

there is no doubt that car has 9s in it. 11.02 on a "slow" pass.

Sucks that you broke but I admire your tenacity. Good luck, you WILL get there eventually.

That's not the problem. He needs to launch better than what he is doing.

You are not missing any thing dont use et as that has to many varibles
use trap speed and weight (weighed in last night at 3380).My car gained
30 lbs over the winter was 3350 last year I think bigger turbo,
metal manifold and no loger use a light weight battery. It come out to 752whp
Thats a litle lower than I thought but off waste gate spring no gain = slower
boost and Im using less timing than original map.It takes a while for the turbo to spool. The slow start car falling on its face(it takes a while for the turbo to spool) a low rpm start hurts the trap and et with this setup.

True, what sucks is I need rpm for turbo
but the triple disc will not let me slip clutch like twin disc did, its on or off period.

I REALLY DON'T THINK THAT MOST PEOPLE REALIZE WHAT A 141.xx TRAP SPEED REALLY MEANS. That MPH correlates to a high 9 time slip!! It's gonna get scarrrrrry when you can hook up.

    Fast ones...
    Holy wategates

    great work Ulysees

That announcer was shocked to hell when you laid down 141mph!!

Just a real shame the bolts broke on the second pass..just as he said "now watch this BMW, he was real quick on the first pass" ..still, should be an easy repair hopefully.

Also, with regards to your 3 disk clutch, can't you just hold the revs high and drop it..BAM....and see if your drivetrain is truly beefed up That would test all those new parts for sure though

Actuall the input flange in the diff that bolts to the axle broke heavy duty one are being made.Seems like 5000rpm has broken somthing every time.Sad thing is I need a 6500 rpm launch to be optimal my peake tourqe is 5700rpm launch at 6500 rpm and it will drop right in to peake tourqe

You said brother ..I just need more practiced with the new clutch.Im thinking maybe try a higher rpm as 5000 is the highest I tried
both times broke somthing. You think I might get better clutch slip with a higher rpm as the clutch just sticks at 5000 like a magnet.

If I make or breakI post there are few that only show the good but we all know with good come bad. Its also interesting finding the weakest link. After the flanges are made the only two things left are diff and trans

just to point out the vega ran in the 9's with a 13xmph run!

All you need is a solid launch w/ nothing giving up and you'll be there!

You are probably already aware of this, but you are doing a heck of a lot of leg work for the rest of us that plan to go fast down the road. Thanks for showing what it takes...

Have you investigated cryogenic treating yet?

No problem we all have the same goals,Yes cryo was a option but did not strengthen the metal enough.

Sounds like that clutch setup is killing you more than helping.
