    Reinforced tranny mount

After breaking one and then hearing Ulysses broke one, I decided to do a little beefing up. Nothing crazy, but it should stop the mount from cracking in the middle. This one is going to the fire ant today:

    Lots.
    That looks sweet, Mike.

Were these breaking as a result of the driveshaft breaking or was it more a result of the engine/trans rotating under acceleration and snapping this brace in the center?

My driveshaft never broke but I cracked 2 mounts slightly. Lots of tourque from hard launches!

Looks good mike - do you think that is stronger than making one out of some thick steel instead? Your solution definitely looks easier.

My car has a steel one since I needed to change the shape/angle.

This is simple and clean. It should stop the cracking in the problem areas.

Will it work the aftermarket mounts such as the UUC Red TMEs?

I think it really only applies to those who are going to be drag-racing.

Am I wrong, and there is a chance for breaking the stock piece on the street or highway pulls?
