Grand Opening in Norwalk, CT - All are invited.

The following is an email I received from a friend regarding an "open house" for a very serious new speed shop that is about to go live in Norwalk, CT. If you do not have Saturday, January 11th booked, and are in the area, this thing looks like it is going to be one hell of a good time. The owners are all high-end exotic car enthusiasts, and they also have a two and four wheel dyno for those looking to know their car's true power.

Right now it looks like to gala an event to miss, so I hopefully I will see some of you fine fellows there!

Quote:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the GRAND OPENING PARTY for Speedsport Technik.

Date: January 11, 2003
Time: 10-4
Location:

323 Westport Ave (Same location as Speedsport Tuning)
Norwalk, CT. 06851
203-229-0590 Phone
203-229-0593 Fax

We will be specializing in:
Audi (RS6 on the way, first one out of Greenwich)
VW (see Kip's asphalt ripping GTI)
BMW (Our e46 m3 smg, tweaked)
Evo (2 Evo 8's on the way)
WRX (Got a few of those rockin at over 450 HP)

Come down for some great food and drink, meet the staff and see our completely renovated showroom and install center. See our brand new Dyna Pac in action. Come on down and try on that racing suit you always wanted but never had a place where you could try one on. Come down. You won't want to leave.

On top of getting your performance parts installed, we now can offer you any sort of custom electronic installation for gauges, turbo timers, cameras and anything electronic. I would like to tell you about Pete, he is our Master MECP Technician and has been in the business for over 20 years and he's on our team now. Have you ever dreamed of having 4 cameras mounted in your race car to record all the action? Not a problem, we have the exact equipment you need. So, if you have no plans for that Saturday, come on down, better yet, mark it in your calander.

If you want something done sooner or want to get an aftermarket part for someone as a gift for the holidays that drives one of the manufacture lines we support, don't wait, come on down as we a currently open and in full swing. If you don't know what to get the gear head in you family, that's not a problem either, a gift certificate would fit the bill perfectly, that way, your loved one can come and see us and we can help him make the right decision on the right part with no bullshit.

Those guys are right down the road from me; they have a big Porsche logo on their sign. I wasn't sure if they did much with BMWs tho. Good to see there'll be options to the dealers that aren't over an hour away.

I will be there all day, I am going in with a friend who is their Audi advisor and won't be leaving until the festivities wrap. Unfortunately I believe the dyno dance card has filled, but there is almost guaranteed to be something crazy on the dyno when you get there.

10-4 on a Wednesday? Not so good for us working stiffs. I'll have to check my schedule. Maybe I can plan a long lunch or something. I'll be the Estoril Cabrio with the University of Florida license tag frame.

I'll probably be there at noon or 1...depending on when I wake up.

M-Crazy, how's things at priceline? One of the execs there is having this monster house put up near me, it was on hold for quite some time when all those .com's when down. I guess it's being built again though?

Is this were Ron's Speed and Sport used to be (in the 80's)?

Ducky - I think that someone else bought that house and was going to finish it. Your talking the one on the hill on the south salem/ridgefield line, right?
