We went to a local meet in Quakertown and took it easy on the way there. On the way back was another story. At one point I gave it about 3/4 throttle (more than I have gone yet) and totally blew his doors off haha. I am not saying Cereal's car is slow by any means, but holy crap the lil 2.5L with boost is like a rabbit on crack.
dyno.
-Dave
I will dyno it once i have the other engine in - I am not sure I care what this one is making but god I am having fun with it
I can't wait for Cereal to chime in. It was fun. I wish my clutch would hold over 5500 rpm or so. I have 1700 more rpm to go
Well because i havent tuned for that just yet - I am trying to figure out why my car ran like poop on NGK BKR7E's that I ordered so right now I am on stock heat range plugs and a like .030 or .029 gap and I get some misses. I also haven't really tweaked fueling up that those pressures/rpms yet so yeah.
Once the tweaks are fixed I vote you dyno it. I'd like to see the max power pre-pop possible on an M50
Vids please
nice, I can't wait to see it in person!

Talk is talk....throw it on the dyno. I'm sure others are curious to see what power your putting down.

Im curious too - andreas, are those plugs recommended for the M50 engine? Some people said BKR7E and now I have 10 of these things and can't use them?
I know who he is - I just want to make sure he realizes I have a non vanos M50. I have 10 BKR7E's here, they won't work?
andreas, what is the difference between the bkr and the bcp series plugs? so far andreas has recommended them for high hp applications and i saw another crazy hp car in a magazine recently with bcp series plugs.

Stock coils = R5671-8 plugs
Aftermarket coils use BCP7ES , itīs a non resistent plug.

Bmwandreas - I am using GM Coils in wasted spark its a GM HEI coil pack with the HEI module removed. So, what should I use? I have BKR7E's, are they no good? Should I get resistor or resistorless plugs?
I know you had those coils, thatīs why you need BCP7ES.
Your coil donīt like resistor plugs.

Hrm really? Right now I am running Autolite 3923 which is resistor and they work, but I do get missfires at higher rpm and what not. Maybe that's why.
Also, the BKR7E's I have are ISO standard length while the BCP7ES are JIS (japanese spec) height... I did notice that the BKR7E seem SLIGHTLY shorter than the Autolite models I have which are spec'd OE (temp range, size) to the car.
We always use BCP7ES, and we have dynoed 850hp on non vanos.
