Should I rock the engine cover or no?

I managed to get the OEM cover to fit over the valve cover with my spark plug wires in there and all. Should i use it? Or should I rock no engine cover? Eventually I am going to make a braked aluminum one, but for now?

Leave it on, looks cleaner. Looks pretty nice, when are you going to rock the coil packs?

I am building a COP WS unit for a member on here, so i will try his out in my car before I ship it. I think. I have to rewire a couple things but the wiring is already in place.

    A few BMW's...

    Clean

I like it with it on. You could paint it another color. I keep having the urge to paint mine white with motorsports stripes and silver lettering.

Also...It looks really nice..But the feed line for your turbo needs to be routed so its less over the top of the engine.

Way to clean an install to have it flopping on top the valve cover.

Belive it or not, at Autozone you can actually order a carbon valve cover. I found it in one of the Fram catalogs...I think it was fram...I was looking for an oil filter and ran across it. Probably my second choice carbon!

I vote for keeping it on. I like the clean look, minus the feedline going over your engine bay.

rock the cover. I ran my car for about 2 years without it and the only thing I gained from it was dust in all the wrong places. I ended up pulling off the valve cover to blow out all the junk in it and then reinstalled the valve cover dust cover.

I had mine loose and ended up getting water into the #5 and #6 spark plug holes while driving on the highway with pouring rain. Makes the car sound like a WRX >: / +1 for keeping it on >: )

Screens flow horribly compared to a decent air filter...

screens do nothing for filtering air. you are sucking up all kinds of sand and shit off the road. use a damn air filter dont be a dumb ass. unless you just dont care. which is cool

Um - a screen filters less and is less restrictive than an air filter. How can it flow worse???

In case you didn't notice the 3" of space between my inlet and my headlight....

Screen is fine - I dont live in a desert and sand aint going to come up thru my grill, thru my splash shield and into my turbo, and if it does... i should probably stop driving thru mountains of sand.

I've run screens on a bunch of cars, its my car, I can screen it

ok, what ever, its your car I not going to argue. but I bet you could run a hks foam filter.
oh and I think would probably look better to run the oil line along the front of the head above the water manifold you could maybe even make a little braket for it and use the bolts from the timing cover, it could also scratch up the engine cover after a while.
