i just swapped in a pair of seats from a 2002 e46 m3 into my 95 e36 m3...the fit barely...i need help wiring the seats...my original seats were the luxury power seats, and the new ones are full power with memory on the driver side.
can you post some pics when you get a chacne?
yea post some pics this should look interesting, in a good way.
looking forward to pics, bet that looks great.

for some reason this forum isnt allowing me to post links...i started the same thread on m3 forum and have a link there to pics.
Personally, I would have got some race seats.
WTB: E36 ZKW Headlights, ACS Rear Diffuser,E36 M mudflaps front + rear
how much do they weigh?

They look hot but like others said, I wouldve done some lightweight racing/sport seats. I have Recaro SRD's in my 98 M3 and I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove them
ya i was planing to do race seats...they do weight alot 60lbs at least apiece...i got these from a friend at a good price so i couldnt turn them down. I might sell them down the road and get racing seats. but for now i like em.
kinda makes the interior look more modern
Cosmos M3 =
If I had an E46 M3 I'd put black Vaders in it.

Do they bolt up easily? Or did you have to drill new holes?
thats kinda cool, bump for being innovative. Ive never seen that done, but have wondered why no one has done it...maybe it was the fact that they weight so much?
Looks more fluid than I thought. They do update the interior a bit. As long as they arent big $$$, I think it's a nice upgrade.

I dunno on these, it's a cool idea, but they just don't look right to me.
Props for giving it a shot though, it looks like the seats give it a good bit more back seat leg room though, anyone else?
edit: if you were to get rid of the wood with some gloss black spray paint, and then got a newer wheel, and a silver ssk in there it would look real sick.

I think it looks nice, but I wouldn't pay for it and would rather have lightweight race seats.
I didn’t have to re-drill holes...but i did have to "force" them to fit. The rails are .5" wider then the old ones. The holes are oversized to allow some play so if you position the just right they will fit. Air tools definitely helped alot. They are reasonably heavy but so are the original lux seats, and surprisingly the vaders are heavy too. I got them at a sick price from a friend allitle less then 400 a seat with only 10k miles on em. I looked at the back seats, and the e46 back seats are different and wont bolt right in.
will update when i figure out how to deal with the wiring
Great job! The seats look really nice in your car. People will have their reservations about them because they are not vaders and not stock, but they look much nicer than the stock lux seats.
i'd rather have Sparco Milanos
