Wow it's been a long day at the dyno! Over 30 pulls! (not all of these were full pulls)
Baseline numbers were 172rwhp 169rwtq. This tune is very conservative for now as the a/f in boost was around 11.5.
In the beginning we were fighting with open loop vs. closed loop and would have it tuned fine then it would change that field next pull and so on. We ended up having to play with the maf clamping voltage at different rpms to get it into closed loop for the pulls. The tuning was done on the pressure map in the software.
My tuner and I both learned alot about the emanage ultimate and the high boost tune is going to go alot smoother/quicker. It was getting late and we were tired so we called it quits at 240rwhp w a pretty smooth a/r curve.
Anyway more to come as this is the beginning!
I'm working on pics and the dyno graph right now..

beautiful numbers on the 2.5!
Hey man, I'm a professional!
nice pics! you made 172rwhp 169rwtq on a stock 323?
National Capital Chapter BMW CCA #367673
note the pink line in this pic.. a/f ratio sitting on 10.0 lol
Theres me riding shotty at 100mph
0psi....
6psi... yeah this boot will be replaced and the traction control removed.
I'll edit my first post as those are my "baseline" numbers not stock. At that point the car had a dinan intake, software, m3 midsections, custom exhaust, and thats about it.
Oh yeah heres the dyno!

my hero
Someone in the US finally did it and provided a dyno sheet
How does the car feel?

Congrats! Awesome job! Can't wait until you go for more psi! What turbo you running?
I added this to the "Tried & Tested" thread. So is this the first fully tuned turbo car in the US on Emanage? By fully tuned I mean ignition and fuel.
Like I said in your other thread, huge congrats.
Couple questions: are those SAE corrected #'s, what's with the afr in the baseline run and are you only tuning on the dyno? I find that dyno runs and street runs vary quite a bit.
Why's that? Does that 323 really have that restrictive of an exhaust system compared to the other e36's?

stock CR 92 non-vanos 325 / first ever Holset HY35 powered BMW / custom tubular manifold & motor mount / stock DME tuning / tial 50mm bov / 46mm xspower w.g. / green top injectors / IC piping designed by myself (above subframe of course) / 12x28x3" IC / oil return into pan that seems to work / e21 tranny mounts / custom blow through MAF / koni sport kit / 18x8.5 mvr replica's / various leaks & body colours
Car feels great! 1st and 2nd are really strong thanks to my 3.38 rear end. But from the street tuning before, it doesn't get good till after 6psi!
You can see the wastegate opening on the dyno graph at about 2800rpm. Can't wait to watch that line climb some more!
Cameron - Yes as of right now this is the only bmw in the country fully running the emanage ultimate under boost. Jordanmd88 will be next in line and after him will be goofynick as I made him an injector box also.
The turbo is a gt30r .63 a/r w/ a t04e compressor housing. (Didn't want to deal w/ a 4in inlet)
e36'n - Yes that was SAE corrected. The smoothing was on 0. I took the SAE off in the dyno viewer software and it took 1hp and 1tq away.
Yes I will be doing more street tuning. I need to make a pull from 1st to 3rd and datalog. I need to add and take fuel out to some of the map because of the different load present when running from 1st or 2nd compared to 4th. The datalogging is the best part about the emanage ultimate. You just hit click on the graph, right arrow over, and watch your fuel map. It puts a highlights the field you are in. So you can see your a/f at that point and then either add or subtract fuel at that part on the map. What we did on the dyno made it easier to get things close as it was a controlled enviroment and it would have taken alot more time doing what we did on the street.
The 323is exhaust goes from 2headers to 1 cat to the muffler. The 328's and m's go through 2 cats to 2 pipes going into the muffler. By swapping the midsection w/ the cats and going with another exhaust you gain about 20hp (crank)

Ive never seen a turbo with such a flat trq curve! Its even flatter than stock great job...

Did you see the thread explaining that you can force open loop by disconnecting the factor O2 sensor? He was discussed in the last few days. Goofynick, Kooter, et.al.
EDIT - It was my 413 thread LOL - http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...=572173&page=3

i'm gonna buy that supersprint- http://www.supersprint.it/prodotti/785302.jpg . it gain 20hp as the 328 exhaust??
Congrats again! We'll get this emanage stuff all figured out and get you lots more power. Love the graphs; so smooth even with the smoothing at 0.
Keep up the good work.

Just some updates...
Well first off got my first kill.. 95 540i 6speed.. He was in front of me and had the jump... not for long!
So it was new rear wheel tire time and I some how managed to go with 265/35/18's instead of 225/40/18's. I had to jack up the rear suspension but not for long as I'm getting the fenders rolled tomorrow! After that high boost tuning!

It's been awhile since any updates on the car.
I've been running 9psi but had a valvevover oil leak by the rubber plug thingy beside coilpack number six. Oil would drip to the downpipe and result in the smell of burning oil.
Anyways went to the track friday night (1/8) and raced my dad's e55! lol yeah he won but i think it would be really close if I had a good launch as I spun through 1st! It was my first time at the track and its alot going on trying to stage, keep the revs right, slipping the clutch, leaving on the 3rd bulb... and all that! Great excitement though.
Anyways I ran a 8.91 at 82mph and my dad ran a 8.17 @ 85mph. We only had a chance to get one run in as a car oiled down the track. My dad has run his car before and this time left traction control on. Previous runs he had it off and was trying to ease it out of the whole but w/ 517ftq thats kinda tricky! My clutch is giving it up from 3rd gear on with anything over 7psi.
Here's some pics. Sorry no video, left the camera at home.
killed me on the light and 60ft as I was spinning!!
I dont know why I didn't get a 330time but he wasn't pulling away anymore and it ended with about a 1.5-2car length gap between us!

Wow! awesome!
Impressive numbers from the 323 on 6lbs(BTW graph looks good ). are you going to dyno again now that you're running 9lbs? BTW whats the current milage on the motor?
Keep us updated.

Wow...too bad my old motor went toasty before you finished this project! It would've been fun to replicate your setup
