    Question Parcel Shelf Re-Upholstery

I'm working on reupholstering the interior of my '89 735i; next comes the parcel shelf Any ideas on how to overcome the trim on the retractable sun visor/shade? The old fabric (which is horribly discolored) was obviously tucked underneath before the application of the trim. It is way too tight to tuck foam-backed fabric underneath. Has anyone else tried to upholster the parcel shelf them self? Did you have to remove the whole sun visor housing, glue and all? This would be a bit daunting; what would it cost me to have it done by a professional, assuming I have the material? If anyone has experience with parcel shelf upholstery I could use some help.

I have dome the headliner on several E32 in short and long wheel base, with and without sunroff. Did not yet make the parcel shelf, but that should be an easy work. For info on headliner replacement see my website below with pics.

Also found a new supplier for material, but do not know if that is the right stuff
