BMW meet up pipe, up pipe, BMW.

    Excuse cam fone

All stainless - the welds are still yet to be "gone over" but its for the most part done. On section is still just tacked but thats a quick 10 minute pass with the TIG. Its going to be supported at the engine mount but it really doesnt even need it! My friend is holding it up because I have 1 bolt at the flange bolted hehe. Also, the bubbly shit in the middle of the pipe is stupid clear tape summit wrapped the part in I didn't feel like picking at it - will remove later.

Nice solution! 3M Goo Gone (3M, dont settle for anything less) will take care of the stuff on the pipe in a minute or two. I'm jealous, you learned how to weld and I'm still sitting on my ass playing with headgaskets

Do you think it will actually work? One of my welder friends thinks the weight is going to harm the welds at the 90* bend or possibly lose alot of energy due to the distance from the head to the turbo.

So why not just flip the manifold then move the flange a little?

Right, I see that it won't fit with the manifold as it is. You can obviously weld. Why not cut the flange off and weld it back on so that the turbo will fit on top?

The only thing you could is, in that picture cut the flange off and turn it at least if not more than 45 degrees count clock wise like /.. but that's a very harsh turn for the exhaust and still, its too high and not far forward enough. The flange would basically need to be welded at the same angle as the one runner you see on the left... thats not good for flow what so ever.

I can garuntee you that's incorrect. Have you ever seen a 944 Turbo?

Before you even get to the turbo, it's like 3ft 6inch's or more to the turbo, just in piping. Oh yeah, and 400whp, with full boost before 3000rpm. The piping will NOT be an issue for Jon, he's easily moving more CFM than me.

    A few BMW's...

    bracket..

I would think you might want to add some bracing on it to the block. on the 944 its pretty well attached to the engine..Maybe just as a precaution.

    Looks pretty cool!!!

What's your ETA on getting it all finished up?
