I love to hear your first impressions.. esp. from a former CF owner!
The hardware looks great! Please document the install.
Wow, looks very nice completed. I'm in New Jersey as well and would love to get a ride after you're done.
Wow thats a really well designed kit from the look. Really high quality looking pieces! The intake manifold looks bitchin!!
And this coming from a guy who hates SC's. But man Im a sucker for good mfg'g and those pieces looks good to me.
Looks like a great kit. I can't wait for the ES kit to be finished.
Impressive!Originally Posted by stimpee

Wow the kit looks really well done. Interesting though is that I thought it was basically the same as the Eurosport kit. It sems different thought. THe Eurosport kit seems to put the Twin Screw unit right against the head while the AA kit still has some type of manifold with runners and all. What are others thoughts on this?

ES kit has runners too. In the pictures you see of the ES kit installed the runners are covered by the fuel rail and injector assembly, just as the AA kit will be. A big difference is the linkage from the TB to the intake of the TS.Originally Posted by PrestoMB

I see, so both kits look identical then?

The one thing that stands out to me, is that the AA/Stimpee TS kit has a low level intake. The ES TS kit - uses what looks like the Conforti CAI kit.Originally Posted by PrestoMB

That is true. Some of the reasons for that difference are outlined in one of the other semi-active threads on our kit.
The kits are of course quite similar, but certainly not identical.
Steve
Have you been Screwed?
Not identical, but remember there are only so many ways a TS/Aftercooler can fit into an M3. Basically, for all intensive purposes, one way.Originally Posted by PrestoMB
Look at the difference between the linkage to the TS intake. I know first hand that Josh had an engineer look at air turbulence and flow in his linkage assembly. A lot of work and R&D went into that piece alone. Needless to say, they should and do appear quite different. These are the this that will be different: the things that are up to the kit maker's design and not limited to practicality, tradition, and physicality of the design constraints. You have to have a charger connect to the aftercooler to the manifold and there is only one way to do this. This aspect will look the same on any TS kit. Just as all centrifugal and turbo kits have their similarities and differences from kit to kit.
