UPDATE!!!
I dynoed again today. I installed my new 24# injectors, new TMS chip, Vanos selenoid, and Toulene mixed into the gas = 92-93 octane.
Car ran:
Peak HP: 213
Peak TQ: 204
I disconnected battery, reconnected and ran:
Peak HP: 217
Peak TQ: 207
Here is the history of my 3 dyno days....
4/19/06
"Burned" TMS chip, Euro HFM, Conforti intake, stock 17# injectors, 91 octane with boost.
Peak HP: 209
Peak TQ: 202
4/25/06
Same setup but with REAL TMS chip...
Peak HP: 213
Peak TQ: 207
5/8/06
Same setup + New TMS chip, 24# injectors, new Vanos Selenoid, toulene in 91 octane.
Peak HP before disconnect: 213
Peak TQ before disconnect: 204
Peak HP after disconnect: 217
Peak TQ after disconnect: 207

Doesnt Edge do free undercar inspections if you drop in with a coupon or something? Check their site and do that while you are there.

I'm really shocked at these numbers. They seem VERY low to me. The same as a stock engine. Turner claims 32hp with this kit. What say you? Help is greatly appreciated.
Shouldn't you pull in 5th gear, since that's the 1:1 in M3's?
You could, but most dyno operators don't like spinning the rollers to a 150+ mph. If you were to dyno in 4th and then 5th, I'm guessing the difference in horespower is negligible.Originally Posted by n00bjabi

Chip and HFM was on car. Scorp965 bought this chip from Projekte36 in 2005 and installed it. It doesn't look like any TMS chip I've seen. It has a 7k limit, but I don't know if it's legit or not.Originally Posted by SharkedM3

Call up turner and verify the chip. 1800-280-6966 Turner chips usually sit on a board of their own. Hopefully this is your issue.

Usually a bad vanos will rattle, if you put your hand on the vanos area and then have someone blip the throttle as the revs climb and fall you'll feel/hear a knocking in there, marbles.
Yeah, those numbers are WAY off, I had a 95 M3 with only a debaffled airbox, AA chip, and Rogue exhaust that made 211rwhp a couple years ago.

Do you know anybody that has the same computer as you but with a tms 3.5 chip? Swap the computer and dyno it again if you can. Remember that basic turner chips raise the rev limit also. Hope you find your problem.

Actually I found my old information and it was 211hp corrected with only RE exhaust and the fan clutch removed...
That is for a 95 with only the RE exhaust and the fan clutch removed. It was in the low 40's but the guy running the DynoJet said it corrects for that, he showed me the "uncorrected" numbers that had a peak of 217 hp. I will be going back in a month or so when I can afford an intake and chip to see how much more I pick up.

Me thinks your vanos solenoid is kaput. Unplug it and take it for a test drive, if it doesnt FEEL SLOWER with it unplugged then that's your problem.

Yea.. fake chip is far more likely that a kapoot vanos. A noisy vanos is NOT a problem in and of itself.. A bum solenoid and a noisy vanos are two totally different issues, and the former does not usually effect power, while the latter can.. However, its much less common than the former, and, this just doesnt look like a vanos issue to me.
