Brake system/DSC problems. Anyone experienced this? Long warning!

    2001 325xi 60K mi
    History:
    Purchased the car 3/31
Drove home, almost there, the DSC,Brake and ABS lights come on.
Pull into a gas station, shut it down, walk around car. All looks normal. Restart and lights are out. Stayed out for 6 days, no issues. Brought car back today to get AC recharged and on the way lights come on. I thought this is good so I could show they were on when I arrived. Got into the lot and turned around, and of course I stalled it. Upon restart , lights were out.
I explained the situation and the said they would look at it.
Left the dealer and the AC worked fine but I noticed as nearing home, the ABS was engaging way before any heavy braking, then it went away. Got 2 miles from home and again the lights are on.
So I decide to take it to a parking lot and try to see what is up.
I park it with e-brake on, car off, do a walk around again, checked fluid, looks high.
Get in start it, lights are out and as I drive off it feels like the antilocks is kicking in, without applying the brakes, and feels like e-brake is on. When it is not. WTF? I am going bach tomorrow, another 1.5 hr drive to have them look at it. I am not getting a warm and fuzzy here. This is a used car dealership, not a BMW dealer. They are willing to make it good however, and if I can help them diagnose, I will.
    Any help or guidance appreciated

The described symptoms might tend to point to a failing ABS controller.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If it is the ABS controller I think it's $800 or maybe more.
