What about changing to an e46 rear-end? is it possible? Has anyone done it and what is the cost?

How much power & torque was the car making when it let go? Street rubber or sticky stuff? Have you guys found a practical power limit with the E36 M3 diff?
ICS doesn't know the meaning of the word 'practical'. But that's good...practical isn't fun anyways.Originally Posted by E368

I guess you guys worked out the weak links now, huh?
Perhaps stock. It seems something jammed in the diff and the result was a twisted drive shaft??Originally Posted by E368
Dunno. Hell, I've twisted drive shafts at the drags a half-dozen times but never had rearend damage as a result. Usually one or the other.
Maybe we'll hear the "rest of the story"

Well I can say the drive shaft is on thing I have not broke
but there is always this week end.

Your car is friggin' nuts. If I go to see ONE BMW at the drags, it'll be yours. When you get that thing to hook it's gonna be a wild ride.Originally Posted by card counter
