Dyno pull and new shoes for the M3

    dyno pull as-raced last weekend:
    http://www.maximumpsi.com/images/lan...os/388_392.MPG

new shoes(shitty pic, my photoshop just took a shit):

Who said you can't fit 15's on the back of an E36 M3? All it took was a couple minutes with the grinder to do a little caliper massaging
We rolled the fender lips just to be safe. I can lower it again and clear everything with the fenders rolled.

Stock E30 M3 rims. 24x9x15 tires. I think I can fit a 26x8x15 now that the lips are rolled, but it will be pretty close.

10psi, 7 degrees total timing above 3psi across the board. Very conservative tune, pump gas, bone stock motor.

These were my Rampage slicks. That little fwd car cut a 1.65 60' consistently with these tires.

    3rd gear, that's why it's so quick.

    stock hg/compression.

The first pull was 395/392, but it was a tad lean around 4-5k. I added some fuel just to be safe but otherwise didn't touch anything. It should do well with some more boost, timing, and some methanol.

Dig around s14.net's classified section for various 15" 5x120 wheels. I believe I still have two laying around in the garage that you can have for postage. I'll check later tonight.

I bought 4 and sold the other 2 to concentric190. Now I'm pissed since I should have saved them for a pair of drag radials as well.

I think they have to be the E30 m3 rims as I have the stock 328 15 inch rims and it would be alot of grinding to get them to fit

    Mike,

let us know what size tires those were. I didn't get their numbers when I was fooling around with them last time.

    thanks,

It is conservative because the car hasn't been fine tuned yet. I have done some rough WOT tuning, and got it so it is nicely driveable. I have a bunch of substantial changes to make soon so I don't feel like fine tuning the car as-is. I also haven't touched the knock retard function yet.

And since when is a ~400whp untouched motor conservative?

There are a bunch of different trains of thought with turbo motors. Some tuners like high compression low boost. Others like low compression and lots of boost. Some are halfway. Then there are guys who like high compression and moderate to higher boost. Every setup is different, and has it's own "sweet spot". I plan on running 500+whp on a stock motor with stock compression. We will see how for I feel like pushing the S52.

Well you wont have a problem there. I am still on stock compression and bone stock motor with a tiny 20g turbo and run low 11's now on street tires not DR's. I am pretty sure I have right around 480-500rwhp but have no dyno proof yet so I cant say for sure (the butt dyno says 500rwhp). I just thought 7 degrees was a final number thats all. If you dont want to fine tune it and turn the boost up soon then yes I agree with that low of timing.
