Just an update on my AA supercharger that I had installed on my M3 several years ago at Active Autowerks in Miami. I was the first OBDI M3 to have the AA supercharger installed. I have 23,000+ miles and have had no problems at all, even on the original belt. Great kit that makes good numbers with little to no reliability issues. May not be upgradeable, but it is a great kit for those looking for easy to install and maintenance free 100+ hp for their BMW.

I've been thinking of an AA Rotrex kit, this post kinda solidified my feelings about the quality Karl puts out.

All 3 M3s are not mine unfortunately; just the Dakar AA supercharged one. Just listing some of the family's bimmers. We also have a 97 528i to round out the BMW family.

I would love a nice and simple supercharger kit, but damn, only like 300whp max is sad
I think I am going to use the AA rotrex on my daily driver 95 m3...simply for reliability issues over turbo...
then going turbo with the 98 M3 i'm buying...

I love my AA Rotrex SC. It was so reliable and works so well. I am so sad to sell it. I took one last drive before taking it out to sell to another member on this board this past weekend. Surprisingly it holds its value quite well, so resale is not a problem in case you guys worry about losing value. I can personally vouch for the longevity and reliability of this AA Rotrex SC kit, it is reliable enough for a daily commuter if desired.
But hopefully the future brings some new and more exciting FI (and higher PSI) options for me. Boris was right, no matter how much HP you have, you will NEVER have enough. You'll need more and more and more. If boost is an addiction, I will probably be a junkie for life.
I hope the new owner (Jon) enjoys the AA SC as much as I did. As do all of you other AA Rotrex SC brothers.

I have 20k being Rotrex SC'ed. I'm enjoying it quite a bit! The original Rotrex was warrantied since it didn't produce the spec boost with all other parts of the car being stock and I'm driving on the new "C-drive" Rotrex. It is more powerful than the original one that I had - getting boost spikes 9.5 psi in 80F degree weather - even more on really cold days, but I don't push it since there's no traction from the tires. This is also on the stock pullies - whatever the kit came with.

96 alpine m3's are better. You just wait mine is going to be faster some day.
" easy to install and maintenance free 100+ hp" how much did you pay for the free hp? lol
Hey Dex,
Didn't I buy your pullies so you could do a Vortech kit?
You've changed your opinion!
One thing I like about the Rotrex is that I can't turn up the boost and pop the engine. If I could I know I would and I don't think it's that smart for me to have the ability to do so.
