    id be in on this if its more of a cruise and not turn into who can drive more daring and not fly off the mtn but get to the top first kind of drives

    Then you might want to avoid these runs. If you do end up going the best thing is to stay in the back of the group - that way you have more of a chance of maintaining a relatively safe pace.

    Haha thanks for all the interest...I did not pick up a car yet. I'm prolly riding with a friend in his M...gonna man the video and pictures. I think we're going to try the same route as last time we went. I still have the directions believe it or not...also, this drive is not a race of any kind. It's going to be civilized driving with the windows down and the cool mountain air. It's definately going to be more of a cruise than anything else...we're going to take our time and enjoy the drive...isn't that why we go anyways?

    Add yourselves to the list and I'll figure out a meeting place by Thursday...It'll probably be at Perimeter Mall...but don't quote me on that.

    it's the start of 'Leaf Season' - basically huge numbers of people driving slow to look at the change of season, accompanied by a large police presence looking for some revenue. best to go on a weekday this time of year.or wait till Dec.
    It is even hard to get around on Bikes this time of year in that area.

    this is true.

    tons of ricers are supposed to be heading up there for "mountain runs"

    and

    tourists. its prime minivan season right now.

    also people still up there from all the oktoberfest stuff
