X3, X5 & X6 (E53, E70, E71, E83) (2000 - current) BMW invented a new word when they introduced their SUVs to the world: Sport Activity Vehicle. Sportier and with more car like agility than the standard SUV, with all of the hauling perks for a more active lifestyle. Introduced in 1996, the X5 continues to be a hit. The younger sibling, the X3, was born in 2003.

Anyone out there with a manual X5 3.0?

What do you think of it?

Yeah, there was a review in Bimmer not too long ago. They were a bit unhappy with the power and tranny feel - but I'd take a manual over the auto anyday (even in an SUV, err SAV).

Actually when we purchased our X5 3.0 ... the auto tranny was an option and manual came standard...
I opted for the manual...but since my gf drives the car more...i had to settle for the auto tranny... but i got my option ... which are the Xenon lights~!
