I have not attempted this DIY myself, but might one day.

It would have been nice to have that around when I did my conversion...nice write-up! The only issue I had doing mine was my range button doesn't work. I doubled checked the wiring and referenced back to pelican so mine must be a different wire? I will see what wire you tapped off of later when I get home from work. I did the install very similar. I can reverse it if need be and did everything right and made it look OEM.
Can't wait to see the rear window DiY. I have been thinking about doing this to make those rear windows useful!

^^^Ditto! I want power rear vents!
This is invaluable, I just used it this past weekend on my 3/98 M3. Tons of info within; Seems like a huge PITA at first, but looking back now it's actually pretty easy. Just do as he says and READ THROUGH IT FIRST!
I also highly recommend using the friction tape or electrical tape to wrap everything AFTER ITS DONE - it really makes the job look nice and clean.
Thanks again Jeremy! Let me know if you need any help with the Power Vent PDF, I just did that project last week so it is still fresh in my head (not to mention I haven't put the interior back in yet)

I'll jump on finishing this up. Thanks Vitolo, I could use your help to make sure I didn't forget anything.
The cruise control DIY is done and I have 2 pdfs. The first is the OEM retrofit instructions and the second pdf includes my install notes. If someone wants to post them (or just wants a copy), email me (jjreyna@sbcglobal.net) and I'll pass them along.

I have a stripped 95 M3 i.e. no moonroof, power seats, heated seats, etc. so I am wondering if this DIY will work on my car.
Anyone else do this with a 95 with no options?
So I did the OBC retrofit to my car the other day... and everything works fine on the OBC but now my water temp gauge doesn't work, I did the instrument cluster test and it has power then but just stays pinned on dead cold always during normal operation. (Also got an airbag light from taking off the steering wheel but I'll get the code clearer for that) And maybe I didn't notice this before but it now seems like sometimes the instrument cluster foglight indicator doesn't come on even when the fogs are active.
And does anyone know how to convert the timer function to independent ventilation? Is it just a wire that I have to run to behind the glovebox?
