Very nice. Where did you get/order it from? This was made for the E46 M3 right? Do you feel a gain or loss of power? Please give us your opinions on it. Thanks.

Did you have to fabricate any supporting brackets yourself? Or did it all come in the kit?

    Thanks - looks great

I'd be mildly concerned about fresh air from the looks of where it sits. I'm sure that it functions fine though. Did you mod the intake hose off the brake duct at all?

Your picture doesn't show where air inlet is. Is it hooked to the spoiler inlet like this?

I got it from Micheal at Roarfilter.com if you call, tell Micheal you hear this from me (Vinnie). The installation was very simple, I didn't have to modify anything at all, the bracket came with the kit and it uses the existing bolt. I have Sharked and SS exhaust on mine so it's a little difficult to tell but if we going by butt dyno I do feel the power at above 4500 rpm and it does sound better when combined with the SS. The mouth of the Roar is sitting right in front of the stock cold air inlet so it's getting the same cold air source but less restriction then the stock air box. HTH

QikSilver - does that ducting come as part of the kit - that runs to the existing inlet in the front spoiler yeah? How neat is the part by the front spoiler - looking at yours - it's actually a totally different kit isn't it?

    Cheers

That aircraft ducting hose comes with the kit. I've attached it where the original hose was attached, except I opened the hole quite a bit to fit the bigger hose. RG Motorsport actually makes this kit for the M3, but it adapts nicely to the M roadster/coupe.

I took it out ealier today for a test drive and it sounds great, it sounds real mean and it seems like it has a little more boost after 4K rpm.

I'm getting red Xs. Could you please host the pics again? Also, what type of filter element is used in the Roar intake?

Looks like a nice intake but I'm just worried about water. Could water get into your engine with the hose going directly to the air duct in the bumper? Does the filter area have something to prevent water from getting in?

Looks like 4" hose to the filter. I doubt even a blown motor could suck enough water up the 4" hose and through the filter to do any damage...

i agree, that would be A LOT of suction to take water up that hose

I didn't keep any info when i purchased it a couple of years ago. Back then I had a little trouble calling them, but emails were fine.

    Good Luck,

After installation, did you have a problem with the MAF sensor throwing out error codes?

No, the MAF sensor was happy. I didn' think it would throw any error codes.
