Well, one of my friends told me about one of his friends with a mod'd 03 Cobra. I believe the Cobra had an Intake, Exhaust, Pulley and a Chip. He said he wanted to see how the TT kit would do againt one. So, I decided to meet up with the Cobra owner and run a few times.
We started at about 60mph, I was in 3rd gear. I honked three times and we were off. The first 2 seconds the cobra hung with me. I had maybe a bumper. Then soon after 4500rpm or so, I was just pulling like mad. I took it up to about 160mph. By the end, I had about 6 cars lengths on the Cobra. We raced 4 times in total, with pretty similar results each run. I think the cobra was also running 100 octane, but I will get confirmation of this later today. I was running about 11/12 psi.
All in all, an awesome night. It really showed me how fast the car has become. I also realized how BADLY I need new tires.
Good times...

Nice. How much power are you making at that psi?

yea same here. Also an o3 cobra with those mados should be closer to 460whp. nice kill nontheless.
160 mph? where did you guys race? on the highway?
Nice kill! Some day I'll be there. For now I just make a lot of noise and pick on the little guys.
No. They were on a residential street.Originally Posted by dunski

Nice kill, the Cobra driver had to be surprised.
yeah, good kill. I too thought twin turbo, and was like WTF? then I recognized your sig, and saw Technique Tuning (I made that mistake a few times when reading about your car)

I agree somewhat, but , how much does a Cobra weigh? Also, Jaded is estimating his rwhp...he may have more and weighs quite a bit less; other factors such as gearing, driver etc.Originally Posted by KarlSpackler

wow those are pretty heavy.
Probably would have been really close if you were still stage I.

Ummm...you JUST now figured it out? You weren't paying much attention when I fishtailed TWICE in that beast were you???Originally Posted by Jaded M3
I toy'd with a 993 Turbo with a bad driver last night. He passed me up as I was entering the freeway. I caught up with him at around 90 and returned the favor with a fly-by...he didn't catch up until I got caught up in traffic (lucky for me).

6 carlengths at 160 is pretty close
cobra is 3700#s or so i believe,
it was my friends cobra convertible, 2003.
He has intake, exhaust, and a slightly smaller pulley (the pulley that you don't need to chip/predator it), and his car is at ~425whp. With the stock pulley he netted a bit less than 415whp. All on 91 Octane.
He was definitely shocked.
I was trailing both Jade and the cobra.
Kills and car lengths confirmed!
Awesome kill, I would love to see your 1/4 times though
So would I.......on some good tires thoughOriginally Posted by slickav

Thanks for all the comments, guys. Once I get some new tires, I'll definitely go to the track and get some 1/4 mile times.
hehe.. Dom, I was having too much fun doing my own fishtailing in Yih-Woei's car.Ummm...you JUST now figured it out? You weren't paying much attention when I fishtailed TWICE in that beast were you???
Jaded, so was the guy actually on 100 octane?
