    DIY: Removing door sills

    This one is very simple.
You want to slide something under the edge of the door sill to get a gap between the sill and the car.

Then just stick your hand under the door sill and feel for a clip or where there is the greatest tension. Then carefully apply pressure on both sides and pull up to release the clip.

It is easy to break these clips. On one sill I broke none and on the other sill I broke 2.
Just get some fresh replacements if you are going to put the sills back on the car.

Wow, buddy, your future mods list for your future car is pretty ghey. Ever think about just buying a civic? You should....

Anyway, back on topic, I've been wondering how to remove these.... How many clips are on each strip?

Both my 97s had chrome. It may come down to production date. Though my previous car was early production date and my current one is late production date.

the round black fasteners on the 4dr's rear sills are a two piece clip. It has a small pin in the center that secures the fastener. I pushed the pin in, and was able to pull out the whole fastener. I learned this after destroying one side first : (
