Thumbs up 551 RWHP / 562 RWTQ E36 M3 Dyno Video & Graph. ICS Performance Build...

    Hi Guys,

We finished another E36 M3 the other day and it has joined the 500 WHP Club!!!

    551 WHP
    562 WTQ @19 PSI

    Good A/F's where it counts

At 7 PSI we are still over 400whp and 350 wtq.

    Dyno Video

    Dyno Graph

With some head work and additional tuning, we feel that we could get another 30-40 whp out of her down the road.

George will follow up with the Q&A later.

    Enjoy

Details about the motor please. Also originally I thought on your high HP run your afr hit almost 14.0:1 but it looks like that was on your lower horsepower run. That's something to be concerned about.

Thats why it needs abit more fine tuning. The Dyno sensor, that sits in the rear of the car and the AEM gauge shows different reading. The AEM is quite lower the dyno's sensor located in the rear. AFR's where no higher than 12.2 on the UEGO on high boost, and 12.5 on low boost.

With 550-600rwhp, you guys should probably be trapping 130+mph, right?

You bastards...I want a turbo. Unfortunately i will only be able to afford a S/C. I am jealous of card counter and his lil 2.8. Give me big 2.8

    Isn't that always the case?

Anyway... I haven't had too much time to analyze and compare with other curves, but I like the low boost (high RPM) torque curve a lot... it's probably all the headwork that gives it such great top end. What are you guys running for cams? I like the turbo selection and setup for low boost...

    Congrats!

What are the specs on this build? Headwork, GT35R (.82?), 3" exhaust no cats, etc.?

I'll look at this more when I have some time... but I like the shape of the low-boost torque curve regardless of power. Great flow on the top.

    Thanks,

    Boris

The car has stock valves, stock valve springs and a street port, nothing to brag about, mild port. ICS cams. 3 inch turbo back exhaust no cats OBD 1, 35r with .82 housing 550cc injectors remote tuned buy ICS/AA. With 2 more degrees of timing on the top end it should make more power upstairs. A 1.06 housing will definetly make more power on top. Without W.I yet.

I agree and I think that trend is being shaped by ICS.

    E46 330ci turbo, 05 ZHP,
Are the two graphs shown in the dyno chart from the same car??? They seem to have drastically different shapes to their power curve.

Yes the runs are from the same car, the lower plot is on 7psi.

PS: In the ongoing effort to bring the FI community some great presentations, we end up killing our bandwidth in a matter of days (100gb transfer). If you haven't noticed, most videos get relaesed towards the middle end of the month. While we have some other great footage we would like to post in the future, I could use alittle bandwidth help if anyone has any space, please let me know via PM, thanks.

Brian - you need to get a couple of 1U servers - colocated at a nice tier one datacenter (like globix)...

    Sort of OT:
I'm in the market for a GT35R and was wondering how much do you guys sell a GT35R for.

My car weighs 3100+ lbs and trapds 136+ MPH with 468 rwhp.

So I'd say the ICS MONSTER will trap at 150+ MPH with 600rwhp.

Trepan on here seems to have some decent bandwidth and has offered to host many a video (check the sticky in Kill Stories).

Question: Why does the 19psi graph peak at ~5300 rpm and drop about 60HP to 7k while the 7psi graph continuously makes power to almost redline?

Note: There is no "tone" to this post, Im just curious.
