jersey area and roadster/ coupe people

okay so dasmafia tried to steal my idea but i am rightfully claiming it back as mine.
this summer, jersey shore, lots of fun.
since no one ever has the same free time during the summer we're going to try planning this now.
if you have any interest of showing up at all, and how could you not?, let us know when's good for you and when isn't. we'll try to plan this so the most people are there.
any ideas for where we're going to find the best (or any) empty parking lot near a boardwalk (There's going to be out of towner's they have to get the real feel of it all) might be helpful, too. if all else fails, i know a street we can all park on in point pleasant.
thankie!

Blondechick,
Please be a good sales person, and post pics of yourself. You may find that to be an effective means of luring more Bimmerheads than you can handle in one gathering!

Sounds like fun...

maybe we should ressurect the "softball-halves" thread to spice things up? (or did that thread die in the crash?)

What part of NJ shore??

I know from AC south its pretty choked up in the summer. Any specific part of NJ shore? Is central part less crowded?? How much will my beach pass cost???(forget that I don't want the 3 hour drive home with sand in my butt).

on a more relevant note:

bad weekends for me:

July 4th (don't really want to fly that weekend anyway)
July 11-12-ish (going racing!)

i was thinking point pleaseant area, just because it still has a boardwalk and is slightly quieter than places like ac and seaside. if we go on a weekday (is that possible for anyone??) we should definatly have places to park, and the passes will be $5 (i think). weekends, there'll be more people, and it's $6, i think. that lets you use the bathrooms, too, where i'm sure you can get the sand out of your butt.

okay das, thanks.

Point pleasant is still pretty busy in the summer.. but then again every broadwalk is. Which means u will not find an open parking lot not filled in the summer.

the only place in the shore where u can find open parking lots are the shores where theres no broadwalk.

And greg.. I can help out with that picture..

took you long enough to respond willy.
i know the parking lot thing is damn near impossible. but i do know this street (that i always park on in pp) that's normally decently empyt. besdies one of the people on the street has a yellow ferrari.
willy! no! shit not the ones from the meet! ::sigh::

Belmar's another choice, though the boardwalk doesn't really compare to the one in PP in terms of having stuff to do. Same thing with Bradley Beach. Both Belmar and Bradley have very nice beaches, with Bradly having fewer people.

There's a nice beach and brick-paved promenade in Long Branch as well.

don't do it willy! you've seen the face i make when i'm pissed off and it ain't pretty!

yea i know. belmar and bradley are options, too. i just wanted to do it where there was an acutal boardwalk. anyone can go to a normal beach, i wanted one that was slightly more unique. hmmm. i might go down sometime soon and see if it's possible to rent out a lot.

Oh yeah.. the pics from the meet.. But I wont post it if ur unhappy.

The shore idea is cool.. but going to be hard to pull off since its so packed and hard to get to off the highways.

Im also not a big fan of parking my car in the streets either. I know im difficult but there are rules which keep my car the shape its in today.

Belmar is a much better idea of this sort of meet than Point pleasant. its less packed and even then a parking lot is not going to be easy to find. The NJ shore gets crazy packed in the summer as u can imagine.

I goofed. Actually, it's the first and third weekends of July that I'm out. Sorry for the mixup. But, I don't think July will be the month anyway. How much does it cost to rent a lot? I'll chip in for that. Like Willy, I am damn difficult when it comes to parking. No curbs checks, no fender benders, and no dings allowed!

Sorry.. not trying to destroy ur deams.. but just speaking the truth. Ive had times where I had problems parking my bike when we rode down to PP in the summer. Wouldnt u hate it if everyone got there and it was a mess..??

Weekday is easier but most people here work during the week I believe. But Im off Thur-Sat.

If they are committed, they will make a weekday. I know I will. We just need to plan ahead (like we're already doing here) so that I can make arrangements with my work.

Cheers to blondechick for taking the lead on this matter.

the problem is Phill.. they dont let u rent out a lot.. the parking lots down the shore..especially near the beach is a pay per spot lot. Noway in hell they'll let u rent out the lot for the day. And everything else is public or private street parking. parking is a HUGE problems down the shore.. we used to drive around for 45mins-1hr trying to 1 spot to park day and night. Belmar and PP. Seaside.. forget it, Im not going to Sleeside.

no no.. I just speak the truth. trying to help the better cause.

im sure if u offer them enough money.. but where are we going to get "enough" money..?? Besides, it may even be illegal for them to hold spaces like that right next to the shore. Its public pay parking.

Menlo.. nah... whatever u guys decide on.. Im just giving my experiences and thoughts.
