I finally have my M3 on the road and running well. I had the kit installed 2 weeks ago but ran into a problem with the O2 sensor. The car kept showing a check engine light. After send the computer back to Nick, he found that the pin for the O2 sensor had corrosion on it. After cleaning that I was off! The car is great. Power comes on at such a low RPM that I can take off very quickly and not even rev the motor much. Gotta love torque The best thing is that I am still running off the wastegate spring at about 4 psi. I cant wait to get the boost controller in so I can feel the real power. Anybody looking to go FI do yourself a favor and check out this kit.
*update* The car is running strong at 8psi. I finally made it to the dyno and had a best pull of 355whp sae corrected. I hit just over 300whp with the boost controller off. That was amazing when you think of a stock E46 M3 puts down about that. The car is still running full cats with just a dinan cat back. Next will be a 3" set up from the turbo back and see where the numbers are!

Congrats my god did not think that the spring comes that low of pressure.
How much Boost do you intend on running ?
Any more additional mods compared to Boris like free flow exhaust etc..
AA Stage 1 Gen III, BMP head gasket, Bored Throttle Body, 3.0"DnPipe & Custom exhaust with AA Gen 2, Aquamist 1s water/methanol injection,
Last dynojet Aug 02 248c SAE 369whp/354ft-lbs at 10.5psi, 1/4mile 12.6@116mph
New Sept 02 Head work and exhaust porting, April 04:UUC Pulleys, Turbo to intercooler pipe 2.5" Aug 04 3.5"HFM,11.5psi
I am planning to run 8psi with the car. I have the dinan cat back on the car. I wanted the low pressure spring so I could have more adjusmtent. I cant wait to feel all of the boost!Originally Posted by M3TurboCa
Oh 4psi is just teasing you and when you get a elec boost controller installed the response would be even better, plus running more boost.

I know, I cant wait. The response is already amazing. I get 4 psi before 2700 rpm. before I have my foot to the floor I am at full boost.Originally Posted by M3TurboCa

Congrats! That is awesome that it's running strong & you are happy. Do you have a boost gauge right now? Are you sure the spring is at 4PSI. I only ask because I talked to another TT guy & he has no EBC or BG. He thinks he is running 5.5PSI. I would assume that the kit would have the same wastegate spring for each kit. So maybe you are running 5.5PSI. Just wondering.
Cameron, stingray's kit is using a 3.6psi spring (on his request). The 'other' kit you're speaking of is using a 5.8psi spring

Get that boost controller, quick!

I have it I just need it hooked upOriginally Posted by potomac
I ordered the same spring with my kit, it's actually a 3.7psi spring. I chose the lowest spring setting so I could dumb down the car in foul weather and valet purposes. I'm guessing that's also why stingray went that way too.
either way, it promises to be a great kit.
Stingray, what other mods do you have on the car? What exhaust setup are you running?

Poor Valet boys were hoping you wouldnt think of them .Originally Posted by themadhatter
My spring is the 3.6 but it seems to go right to 4. It is tough to tell the exact reading. I have the dinan cat back only. I cannot believe how strong the car is even with the light spring. I wanted it for the same reasons.Originally Posted by themadhatter
That is what I am worried about. I have always hated leaving my car with people. they always want to "see what it can do"Originally Posted by highboostingm3
I'm loving the price of this kit.
I'm glad there's more options out there.
Who would've thunk that a well engineered kit could be made and had for a lot less than the "other" kit(s) out there....
Congrats.
Can't wait to get mine!
Congrats!!!
Hearing this makes me want to get a older S52 M Coupe and turbo it. Almost...

either, I'm glad to see that you're very happy even running at the lowest possible setting.
as for the reading of 4psi, what boost gauge are you using and where is it tapped in?
