8 Series (E31) (1991 - 1997) As the last E24 rolled off the production line in 1989, its replacement was quick on its heels to fulfill the fantasies of those looking for a touring coupe with all of the luxury, performance, and prestige of a BMW, only now with both 8 and 12 cylinder engines.

Do they say why they don't like it? I'd sell my soul for a MY94 850CSi.

Tom, nice to see you drop by. You'll not find alot of 7 or 8 action here but there is some. I met BPSCM3 here who NOS'ed his 750 just before Loren did. He killed a M3 the other day in the Kill Stories forum. Justin used to have an 8 but sold it. So far your only the 2nd .org 8'er to come by.

Say hi to the Lisa.

Ok. . .great pictures. Does anyone have a side view with all windows down (to expose the B pillar-less design)? I'd love to see one. I'll try not to be too picky in the future.

They deserve to be recognised by BMW

Unfortunately BMW seems to ignore these true beauties :

You won't find any infos on their sites

And if you ask a BMW dealer, they will say you that this is not a car to buy because of the V12

But when you ask about the 750, they'll tell you that there won't have any problems and that could be able to drive it for miles & miles without any problems (which is true)

That's one of the reason i created www.clube31.com, to show that these cars deserve more than now, and that they are true gt....

They never "switched" to V8

But in 1992, BMW did the 850Csi and the 840

Then the 850i and 840i were updated in 1994 to 850Ci & 840ci (v8 4.4l)

Bmw stopped the 8 series in Amercia in '97
But in '99 in Europa, where 840 are easier to find , but there were 850s....

Just a TTT since the default settings only show the past 30 days worth of threads.

Great pics and great links on this thread!

I've wasted quite a bit of time drooling at E31s today
