I've got 2 cracks in my dashboard, one is about 3" inches long, very thin, and the other is about 1 1/2-2". I've done a couple google searches, and can't seem to find anything. I did read about some guy who was restoring an old muscle car, and it said, not in detail, that he went to pep boys, bought a kit, and melted the cracks back together. I don't feel like buying a new dash, or putting some new bad looking dash over it. I don't care if it doesnt look perfect, I just want to get rid of them and make it look a little better. Any ideas?
i don't think anyone has found an actual solution to this. the bmp dash cover kit would work, though. hopefully someone knows how to fix them. i think it's absurd that people go through the trouble of buying new dashboards when they are the same cost of the cover and will almost certainly just crack again.
I'm just fine. It's the world that is wrong.
Take it out and rip all the crap off!
Bath it in thinner and hose it down!
Nice steel dash!
Little fiberglass and paint! Your on fire!
I'm practicing my air brushing on mine now!
