| 5 Series (E12, E28, E34, E39, E60, E61) From the very beginning the 5 Series has had cutting edge styling with leading edge performance. Comfortable on a plush drive, or capable in a performance setting, the 5 Series has always done it all. From the Sedan, to the Touring, to the Beast known as the ///M5, there is a reason that 5 Series owners are the most steadfast enthusiasts of the brand. |

ya the SS offers 2 pieces. The muffler and resonator. If you want a CatBack then all you do is buy the SS muffler. You do not need the other part. BMP will try and tell you that you do but you do not. The resonator will quite it down a bit. If you do a CatBack without the resonator it will actually make it a bit louder....just have the muffler shop run new pipe from the cat's back to the muffler and I think that you will be happy with that
Hope that this helps...and yes they are both SuperSprint peices theDogger

Keep in mind that like most aftermarket exhausts, it'll take a couple weeks of driving for the sound to really start coming out. My friend's eisenmann on his 325i was really disappointing at first - but after a couple weeks of running it in, it became much, much, much louder. Trust me. You won't be disappointed with the Eisenmann. |

going into sophomore year (college) for me and its gonna be the eisleman race for me baby! w00t! its like 700 or so plus installed and custom pipes, so 900 looks about right.
in contrast, my friend bought a stainless steel vat back exhaust for his golf. 400 bucks =[

What about the e34 M5 Supersprint Stainless Steel?
I spoke with a place that carries the e34 M5 Stainless Steel Supersprint and they checked with Supersprint and it will fit the e34 535i. You only have to modify the flanges where they connect to the cat. Has anyone else looked into this? You can get the stainless exhaust and resonator for under $1k.

they make a specific one for the 535i though?
why would u put the m5 one in there? the b&B systems sound deep and loud most ppl say, and bavauto sells them as triflo ... but thier contruction quality is being challenged by a member here =] so i'm stickin w/ eisleman i'm pretty sure.

The reason for wanting to use the M5 Supersprint exhaust would be because it is 100% stainless Steel. The one they make for the non-m5 e34 is not stainless. The stainless M5 unit only costs a bit more.

It is all stainless (of course), dual 2.5" pipes, straight-shot muffler bodies all custom-built to tune the sound the way I want it in the Touring (the open body makes an exhaust louder inside), and the cats are EPA-certified, each one of them for a 4.0l engine. Post-header tuning and crossover position/type is all M5-spec. Tuned expansion chambers are giving an extra kick at low rpm that was not present before. If I do offer it, do npt expect it to be inexpensive. It would not surprise me if I crunch the numbers on production costs and come up with a retail about double what an off-the-shelf aftermarket system costs. ![]() - Rob |
