| X3, X5 & X6 (E53, E70, E71, E83) (2000 - current) BMW invented a new word when they introduced their SUVs to the world: Sport Activity Vehicle. Sportier and with more car like agility than the standard SUV, with all of the hauling perks for a more active lifestyle. Introduced in 1996, the X5 continues to be a hit. The younger sibling, the X3, was born in 2003. |

X-5 4.6is
Did I get those letters in the right order?
The new Roundel features the new really fast X5. I have been dreaming about a blown 540 when I trade my 7 in, but when I heard about the V-12 X-5 test model, I started watching the stats on the X-5. The 4.6 liter X-5 is probably fast enough based on the article in Roundel. More head room too. mikey:atom Does anyone build a blower for this one yet?

This month's Bimmer mag has an article on a blown 4.4i that is supposed to be faster that the 4.6is, though it is not being released yet because the blown 4.4i motor is too strong for the standard 4.4i tranny. They're waiting for the 4.6is tranny to become available. I forgot which tuning company was doing it though...

Yeah, also, there is a blown 3.0 that has output almost equal to that of 4.4i....my dad is also waiting for something for the 4.4i
![]() And maybe later on he'll figure out how to mate an m5 tranny to it
