By Demand...Another Bay Area Meet.

Okay this is whats going on. Meeting up at Star Bucks on De Anza Blvd. and Stevens Creek on the corner. 9am. Will hang out and get to know one another and for the ones that just woke up theres Coffee. Ill definitely need that. =) Will leave at about 10:30/11:00am so make sure your there before than. We can either eat before the drive or eat up in Santa Cruz. Ill leave that up with you all. The drive will be up Hwy 9 to back side to Santa Cruz. Still debating if that is a smart idea. Depending on how many cars show up, we might have conflict with Motorcycles. So any other suggestions would be nice. I also looked into the weather and it seems that it might be wet out that day. Scattered Showers from what I hear. Help pass the word. Thanks.

I'll come for the meet.
How about if we drive to woodside and go to Hwy 1 down to Santa Cruz and back via Hwy 17?

What's up guys! Just thought I'd say "Hi". I just registered on bimmerforums today but I've been on the DTM forum for months. Unfortunatly I will not be able to make it to this meet but I'll be at the one on Suday. Is anyone from here going to that one?

Here are the details from loki the organizer about Sundays Meet

from: loki - loki@roadfly.com
location: SeaBowl Parking Lot - 4625 Coast Highway, pacifica, CA View Map
when: Sunday, January 27, 11:00am

Come one, come all to the Bay Area Bimmerbash! If you know some bimmer enthusiasts who'd like to join the meet, invite 'em!

The meet will be at 11am at SeaBowl in Pacifica, just off Hwy1: http://www.seabowl.com

Hopefully this will be a central enough meeting place for people coming from the east, north and south bay. I suggest arranging a meeting point within your local area so people can caravan to the major meet point in Pacifica.

At noon, people can choose to have a lunch at Seabowl or even bowling if the mood strikes you. Post lunch I plan to lead a drive down Hwy1 to 84/35, passing Alice's Restaurant, traversing to the 4-corners and then popping out on Page Mill/280 where people can depart.

Hope you can join us!

~loki

Just want to say Thanks for everyone who was able to make the meet and drive. It was fun and we will definitely do this again. I will post the pictures once I get a hold of them. And also keep you all posted on the next meet to come. Hopefully it will be more dry out for the next meet. :
Johnny

Bill the drive was great. You reallly should have gone. We ended up changing the route but over all the drive was fun. We took 17 up to Santa Cruz and ate at some sea food restrauant off the ocean. We than took Hwy 1 to 48 to 280. We took alot of pictures so Ill let you know when I get them. For being wet out I really didn't think it would have been a good drive but I was definitely wrong. Ill keep you posted on the next meet I set up.

Johnny,

Nice to finally meet you yesterday, man. Next time I'll definitely be up for the drive! I'll have more practice with the V1 by then, at least. The pics look great, by the way.

Was the restaurant "Rosa's" or something like that? Great margaritas.

I'm looking forward to the next one!

Bill,
Im not sure what the name of the restrauant was. Food wasn't good at all. Even the burgers didn't taste good. And you can't go wrong with burgers. hahaha. Last time I go there. But definitely Ill keep you posted on the next meet to come. Im pushing for mid next month so let me see how the weather looks like and find a route and meeting spot.

I'm only 18, and out of curiosity, what's the age majority that shows up to the meets?

I think the restaurant was called Rostagaros or something like that. The fettucine was not bad. The drive was better

Next time the drive is destined for Santa Cruz, we should hit Seabright Brewery instead, then. I can scout out some more places down here, or keep my eye out for good stuff happening that we can hook up with.

Oh, I'll be 28 next month (think a SSK should be my present to myself?) and I've met folks there anywhere from 16 to somewhere in his 50s. Pretty big variety of folks, though I think a big bunch is around 21 or so. Sorry, I'm not good at guessing guys' ages.
