If I read this xls correct... all E36s will require spacers

nice, i've been waiting for a GB to get the V2 set. (Passing on GC, H&R for sure now)
Is KW supposed to be "better" than the GC Track/school kit?Originally Posted by ///AlpinePower

Nathan, all technical specs are included in the spreadsheet -- pricing, spring rates and lowering range.Originally Posted by nathan
KW V2 units use Koni inserts specifically valved for their application. KW V3 units are built in-house by KW.
KW's V2 uses a Koni setup much like the GC kit. It's going to really come down to valving and spring rates as to which one ride and handles better. I haven't driven on the GC kit so I can't give you first hand information but the KWs are pretty amazing both on the street and on the track. Of course you do get the stainless steel casing on the KWs for rust prevention whereas the GCs do not have this.Originally Posted by clumpymold
Would the V1's require spacers on a 98 M3/4 with staggered 10 spoke stock M wheels?

All:
I purchased a set of KW V2 Coilovers (non-INOX) from Pro-Imports during their last group buy and the service was excellent.
That being said, I am running spacers for the V2 setup in my 1997 M3/4 with the factory forged wheels. I have 15 mm front spacers (in anticipation of a big brake kit) but I believe 10 mm spacers should clear those wheels.
I am very pleased with their performance.

I have tried several coilovers systems and this is by far the best. In it's category the V3's are unbeatable the next step would be like a moton setup but you could also get the racing 3 way adjustable system from KW (not included in the group buy of course, only for racing purposes).
I swear by them and to prove it, if any of you are in the area I will take you for a ride and your search for a street/track coilover system will be over..

I second that. I have been in Dado's car b4 and his suspension setup is very impressive. If you don't believe him, he will def show you.I swear by them and to prove it, if any of you are in the area I will take you for a ride and your search for a street/track coilover system will be over..

Is the pricing you gave up top for the v1, v2, or v3?
Thanks

There should be pricing, spring rates and lowering heights for ALL BMW applications and V1, V2 and V3 kits in the spreadsheet file.Originally Posted by TBT323

Do the struts come assembled with the upper spring plates and everything or would you use your stock parts and a spring compressor to assemble it?
If you buy new strut mounts and I believe a retainer ring, you should be able to install your coilovers without a spring compressor.Originally Posted by dz223
Ok not really sure wat those parts are (no experience with coilover kits) do you sell these?Originally Posted by Pro-Imports
you can use the stock spring plates, I didn't need a spring compressor to put them on. Later on I added the GC camber plates just because of the need for more camber.
to make it short, all you need is the coilover and it will bolt right on.

Right now, I have my eyes set on the TC klines, but with this awesome pricing, I may change my mind depending on how they compare to the TC klines.
I wish I could experience both of them before I take the plunge. Is anyone else on the board running the KWs? Hopefully they can chime in too.
Are the KWs as street friendly as teh TCKlines, or are they more track oriented like the GCs?

Thanks for all the help

I have the v2s, they are the older version but i believe all the mechanics are the same. All i can say is i love them. Ride quality and build quality are both top notch. Mine are set half way and it seems to be a good medium between ride and handling. They eliminate alot of body roll and nose dive. Would i buy them again? Without a doubt.
As title!
If yes, I expect the spring rate will be stiffer at the rear. Am I correct?
