Hi im Matt Geldmacher and kinda figured seen a few of these threads and see you guys at events might as well to give some info on my build, events, and junk.
Ill start with the car. Bought it off here from a fourm member that had started with a bone stock 318i out of a junkyard(no wrecked) and had the crazy/sensible idea to swap a chevy V8 in. He then fabbed up mounts and placed a L33(5.3 aluminum block mini ls1) in mated to a transam t56. He then installed a stanalone wiring kit puchased from some guy and got the car wired to the engine ect. I picked up the car with intentions of a drift car planned on doing this to a 4 door e36 i had but was totalled a few weeks before so i was on the market and could not pass up the deal.
Went to Nc to pick it up found out it needed a few things to get going and brought it back up to Md to get the ball rolling.
Had to have A1 driveshaft make a driveshaft to fit(had two welded together)
MBS do a full dual 3in exhaust(headers are still hacked up camaro junk)
Jeff at PSI dyno tuned(ran like crap) and with cam it had and mods make a little over 300rwhp on a mustang dyno, then added a bigger intake tube and a few little things plan on some other mods.
Swapped out stock 318 diff and axles for a modded medium diff with extra clutches and a 3.61 ratio
Brakes new pads and rotors need to step it up there have a partsmax hydro ebrake i dont use routed inline
Suspension went with the BC BR coilovers with 8k 10k springs ride great and drift awesome and have a SLR steering angle kit with adjustable arms and poly bushings need to reinforce everything still and replace some bushings
Interior is pretty much stripped and need to take out more plan on a cage have Corbeau fx1pro driver seat still not sure if i like it stock passenger
Exterior was muti colored when i got it went with a kinda camo that was different and also done in the driveway our first paint job not the best but does the job.
Wheels i have a ton and need more lol
Skipping a bunch i know but its all little stuff id lose my mind trying to remember.
After a couple events im just getting comfortable with the car but after 100 Drifters of December at Summit Point i blew my 2nd gear in my T56, clutch was slipping after using 3rd instead, and need over fenders. Thats where im kinda at right now.
As for me ive owned little over 22 cars 14 being rx7s one being my 10sec drag car which all are sold and down to the bmw. Im a Vw tech and self funded(broke)and have fooled around drifting and kinda started back in 2010 with my 92 rb20 240sx never took it seriously sucked and friend wrecked it so gave up went back to my drag car did that untill i got bored and sold that this year. Wanted to get back into drifting found a 94 325i turbo car was starting to build then one day a idiot wrecked into the side and totalled it. Then found this car and decided to persue drifting a little more. Here for fun but would like to make alot of events next year have alot to learn and only been to 4 events with this car.
Here are some pics from the beginning till now.

this thing is sweet, i wish there was more pics. post them if you do have more.
Pretty sick looking car... do people usually mount the hydro on the passenger side?
Not too sure everyone seems to mount them different it does not seem to lock up that well but want to do a m3 rear swap(arms and brakes) whenever i get money.
And thanks guys after that write up i took a break here are some from the last events i got this car think around july of this year but these pics are from last weekend think more to come and hopefully some videos.

Car looks sick, I love the angle.
Also I'm moving my hydro up there to put it in a more ergo position just to the side of the shifter (I have it behind it, rear of the car, and it's bs to get a grip on it real fast) I have long legs and the drivers side is still to crowded for my liking.
I didn't know cars were made to fly... Haha that's an awesome pic

Thanks guys right now trying to get some money going to buy stuff for it lol. I was drifting that first loop(only my 2nd time out the first day lol) and went out too far and there is a ditch in that one spot and bent my trailing arm pretty good but rigged it up and drifted the rest of the event. Heres a video its at like 2:20ish [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONrtESyOs-U&sns=fb[/ame]

Well just picked up some m3 arms, brakes, and axles. Hope my hydrualic e brake locks up better now but gotta order some bushings and rear subframe reinforcement plates before i install. Should be picking up another t56 next week too but its lt1 so gotta swap stuff while apart replace a few things to make it a little stronger and rebuild my old one.

Very cool stuff! Love the air shot. The dual exhaust looks funny, but this car pulls it off.

Yup lol, cleaning them up and slaping new rotors and pads on them but gotta get reinforcement plates, subframe bushings, and camber arms so i can just do it all at once but need some more money first.

Can't wait to hang out again! Love that car!
Nice 318i! I have one too
Bummer about the rear damage. You'll be back in action in no time!
LOL @ breaking 2nd gear in your T56, how did you manage that? What were you doing when it blew?
And people kept telling me to go T56, and yours broke at 300 wheel!

Well a little update. Due to money and time havent been able to do much but just picked up turner motorsports camber arms, delrin rtab bushings, solid subframe bushings, and subframe mount reinforcement plates. Still need to get ahold of some diff bushings before i do all that. Meanwhile ive been preping the interior for a cage(still got more to do). Im dropping it off next weekend then save up for a trans and clutch too
Before
And passenger side everything is removed, still gotta take the sound crap off the driver side and remove the dash.
Also heres another video i found im at 2:00 waiting on my friend to finish the go pro videos and got a new go pro so should be getting some better videos next year.
